Condiments, sauces, dressings and spreads are Kraft Heinz’s largest source of sales, followed by ready meals such as Kraft Mac & Cheese and frozen potato products. Its brands include Heinz, Kraft, Philadelphia and Lunchables. The company makes products in its own factories and through contract manufacturers, then sells them to retailers, foodservice distributors and institutions that supply consumers and serve meals.
North America supplies most of its revenue. Walmart is its largest customer and accounts for a substantial share of sales, so purchases by this single retailer matter to the business. Kraft Heinz depends on consumers choosing its brands and retailers giving its products shelf space, while competing with other food companies and retailers’ often cheaper own-brand products.
Profitability depends on selling prices covering ingredients, packaging, manufacturing and distribution costs. Competition and consumer price sensitivity limit how far it can raise prices when costs rise. Its products and operations must also comply with food-production, labeling and packaging rules across its markets.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Conagra competes with Kraft Heinz for shoppers buying branded frozen meals, shelf-stable foods, snacks and desserts. Its U.S. Grocery & Snacks sales offer a read on competition for packaged foods that do not need refrigeration.
Campbell’s competes with Kraft Heinz to sell sauces, convenient meals, snacks and beverages to North American retailers and foodservice customers. Watch its Prego and Rao’s sauces for competition in a category central to Kraft Heinz.
General Mills competes with Kraft Heinz for retail and foodservice purchases of convenient meals, frozen snacks and baking-and-dessert products. Its frozen hot snacks and baking mixes are more relevant comparisons than its pet-food business.
McCormick’s condiments and sauces compete with Kraft Heinz’s largest business platform, Taste Elevation, which accounted for 45% of fiscal 2025 net sales. McCormick sells to retailers, food manufacturers and foodservice businesses; its Consumer condiments and sauces are the clearest products to watch.
The Marzetti Company competes with Kraft Heinz to supply sauces and salad dressings to retailers and restaurants. Its foodservice business mainly sells private-label products to national restaurant chains, so custom-made sauces and dressings are the relevant competition to watch.
Kraft Heinz depends heavily on Walmart buying its food for resale in stores and online: its largest customer accounted for approximately 21% of consolidated net sales in each of fiscal 2025, 2024 and 2023. Walmart’s commitment to everyday low prices makes its pricing approach worth watching.
Hormel Foods competes for purchases of branded meats and spreads that also support Kraft Heinz’s Oscar Mayer and condiment-and-spread businesses. Its retail business is the relevant comparison for competition in those foods.
Smucker competes with Kraft Heinz in coffee sold through retailers: Folgers and Café Bustelo face Maxwell House and Yuban. It also sells single-portion products to foodservice customers, where Smucker’s and Jif compete with Heinz.
PepsiCo competes with Kraft Heinz for grocery and foodservice purchases of convenient foods, dips and beverages. Its Sabra refrigerated dips and spreads offer a concrete place to watch that overlap.
Smithfield Foods competes directly with Kraft Heinz’s Oscar Mayer for bacon, hot dog and deli-meat purchases. Watch its Packaged Meats business, which turns fresh meat into these products for retail and foodservice customers, rather than its hog-production results alone.
Mondelēz competes with Kraft Heinz for purchases of snacks, cheese, grocery products and powdered beverages, but puts its main emphasis on biscuits and chocolate. Its cheese and grocery and powdered-beverage results are closer comparisons for Kraft Heinz than chocolate.
Keurig Dr Pepper competes with Kraft Heinz for packaged-coffee and refreshment-beverage purchases. Its McCafé coffee competes with Maxwell House and Yuban, while its U.S. beverage business sells concentrates, syrups and finished drinks to bottlers, distributors and retailers.
Lamb Weston competes with Kraft Heinz for frozen-potato orders from retailers and foodservice buyers. French fries make up most of its portfolio, so its frozen-potato sales offer a focused comparison for Kraft Heinz’s frozen-potato business.
Berkshire Hathaway’s approximately 27.5% stake as of January 16, 2026 gives it influence over Kraft Heinz shareholder votes, while possible stake sales can unsettle Kraft Heinz’s share price. The insurance, rail and energy holding company’s shares were registered for resale on January 20, 2026, but that filing neither sold shares nor meant Berkshire would sell.
Kraft Heinz buys closures and metal containers from Silgan to package its food, and ranks among Silgan’s largest customers in both businesses. Silgan’s news on those packaging lines is relevant to the supplies Kraft Heinz needs to get products to buyers.
Kraft Heinz buys consumer packaging from Graphic Packaging to sell and distribute its food. Graphic Packaging makes mainly paperboard cartons, trays and containers, making its paperboard-packaging business a relevant place to watch Kraft Heinz’s packaging supply.
Smithfield Foods, Inc. earningsSFD
Smithfield’s packaged-meats business will show how strongly retail and foodservice buyers are purchasing bacon, hot dogs and deli meats—the same purchases Oscar Mayer competes for.
Focus on sales and profit in packaged meats, not hog production: packaged meats is the closer read on Smithfield processing fresh meat for retail and foodservice buyers. Strong results would point to tougher competition for Oscar Mayer; weak results could mean less pressure from this rival, but would not establish how Kraft Heinz itself sold.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s decision on its benchmark interest rate matters to Kraft Heinz because higher rates can raise the cost of borrowing and interest on debt that reprices, while lower rates can ease those costs.

If it comes in above expectations
If the Fed sets a higher rate than expected, Kraft Heinz may face higher costs when it borrows or refinances debt, leaving less of its cash for operations and other uses.
If it comes in below expectations
If the Fed sets a lower rate than expected, borrowing or refinancing may cost Kraft Heinz less, easing pressure on the cash available for operations and other uses.
The Marzetti Company earningsMZTI
The Marzetti Company’s foodservice business will show how restaurant chains are buying custom sauces and dressings, where it competes with Kraft Heinz.
Watch sales in The Marzetti Company’s foodservice business and any detail on custom sauces and dressings. Stronger sales would indicate firmer restaurant demand for its products and tougher competition for Kraft Heinz’s orders; weaker sales would suggest less pressure from this rival in foodservice.
Silgan Holdings Inc earningsSLGN
Silgan’s metal-container and closure businesses offer a read on a packaging supplier Kraft Heinz relies on to get food products to buyers.
Read sales and profit in Silgan’s metal-container and closure businesses. Steady results in both would suggest a stable operating backdrop for these packaging lines; weakness could signal pressure worth watching for Kraft Heinz’s packaging costs and supply. Silgan’s report cannot establish Kraft Heinz’s actual prices or contract terms.
Graphic Packaging Holding Company earningsGPK
Graphic Packaging’s paperboard business will show how a supplier of cartons, trays and containers used to sell and distribute Kraft Heinz food is faring.
Watch sales and profit in Graphic Packaging’s paperboard business. Steady results would indicate a stable operating backdrop for a supplier of cartons, trays and containers Kraft Heinz uses; weakness would make pressure on packaging supply or cost worth watching. This is a supplier signal, not proof of Kraft Heinz’s actual purchase prices or supply.
The Kraft Heinz Company earningsThis company
Kraft Heinz’s report will show whether its food brands can sell more products and whether pricing and cost efficiencies can offset pressure from ingredients and manufacturing.
Read organic sales by volume and mix alongside pricing, then check adjusted operating income, a profit measure that excludes specified items. Improving volume and mix with steadier income would show that consumers are buying more and that pricing and efficiencies are helping. If volume and mix keep falling despite pricing, and income weakens, Kraft Heinz has not overcome the combined pressure on demand and costs.
Walmart Inc. earningsWMT
Walmart’s report will show how food sales are faring at Kraft Heinz’s largest customer, which accounted for about 21% of Kraft Heinz’s consolidated net sales, and how its low-price approach bears on suppliers.
Read Walmart’s food sales alongside its approach to keeping prices low. Steady food sales would show that shoppers are still buying through Kraft Heinz’s largest customer; continued price pressure could leave Kraft Heinz less room to negotiate selling prices and promotions. Weak food sales would put demand at this major customer in focus, but Walmart’s report cannot replace Kraft Heinz’s own order data.
