Kyndryl Holdings works on the technology that enterprise customers use to run their businesses. Customers pay it to plan and implement changes, connect cloud services with systems in their own facilities, and manage those environments over time. Its work includes keeping core systems running while modernizing them, rather than simply supplying new technology.
Customer contracts are typically long-term, but continued revenue depends on customers renewing and buying additional services. Financial-services companies, including banks and insurers, supply a large share of revenue, though no single customer dominates. Earning a return on these contracts depends on estimating delivery costs accurately and meeting agreed service standards.
Delivery relies on skilled staff and technology partners, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft. Kyndryl Bridge uses automation and AI to help manage customers’ technology environments. Data-sovereignty, privacy and other laws constrain where and how Kyndryl can deliver services and may require changes to its offerings or supply chains.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Kyndryl’s results hinge on enterprise outsourcing and modernization budgets, with Capgemini and Tata Consultancy Services important rivals to watch beyond this list.
DXC Technology competes with Kyndryl for global enterprises’ spending on running and modernizing IT infrastructure. Its Global Infrastructure Services business is the closest area to watch for competition over outsourced technology operations.
IBM both competes with Kyndryl for enterprise consulting and modernization work and supplies technology that customers use through Kyndryl’s service contracts. Revenue from customers consuming that IBM technology has declined since the spin-off and may fall further, but with limited impact on Kyndryl’s profitability.
Accenture competes with Kyndryl for large enterprises’ IT modernization budgets, selling both technology advice and ongoing management of operations. Its consulting and managed-services work is the relevant competition, backed by a global delivery network designed to keep services price-competitive.
Rackspace Technology, Inc. competes with Kyndryl to run enterprises’ private, public and hybrid cloud infrastructure and protect those systems. Its separately reported Public Cloud and Private Cloud businesses give investors two concrete areas to follow for this competition.
Wipro competes with Kyndryl for global enterprises’ infrastructure, cybersecurity, consulting and application modernization contracts. It also sells third-party hardware and software alongside services that connect customers’ systems, adding those products to its service offering.
Infosys competes with Kyndryl for enterprises’ spending on cloud, infrastructure and security management, as well as modernizing and running applications. Its application support and cloud-management services are the parts of its broad offering most relevant to Kyndryl’s contracts.
Cognizant competes with Kyndryl to run enterprise infrastructure, secure systems, connect technologies and modernize applications, including for financial-services customers. Its Financial Services segment is especially relevant: that industry supplied approximately 45% of Kyndryl’s revenue in the year ended March 31, 2026.
Unisys competes with Kyndryl for contracts to manage enterprises’ IT and modernize their technology. Its digital workplace business, which supports employees’ devices and applications through service desks and field services, is a concrete point of overlap.
Amdocs Limited competes with Kyndryl for communications providers’ work connecting systems, moving workloads to the cloud and running IT operations. Its longstanding specialization in communications and media makes its cloud migrations and managed operations for those customers the work to watch.
Microsoft sells enterprises cloud platforms and software, while Kyndryl earns service revenue implementing and managing customers’ cloud environments. Their strategic relationship helps Kyndryl expand with existing customers and reach new ones, making enterprise cloud migration and modernization the relevant Microsoft business to follow.
Amazon’s AWS supplies cloud infrastructure, while Kyndryl helps enterprises adopt and manage cloud environments; their alliance supports Kyndryl’s expansion with existing and new customers. AWS, rather than Amazon’s retail business, is the segment relevant to that opportunity.
Alphabet’s Google Cloud supplies cloud technology, while Kyndryl helps enterprises modernize and manage their cloud environments. Their strategic relationship broadens Kyndryl’s customer and market opportunities, so Google Cloud—not Google’s advertising business—is the part to watch.
International Business Machines Corporation earningsIBM
IBM’s report will show how enterprise demand for its technology is changing, a signal for Kyndryl’s services that use that technology.
Focus on IBM’s enterprise-technology business, not its company-wide results as a stand-in for Kyndryl orders. Strength there would suggest demand for this technology remains supportive; weakness could add pressure to Kyndryl’s IBM-technology-related revenue. Neither outcome directly establishes how Kyndryl as a whole is doing, and the relationship says this revenue has limited impact on its profitability.
Alphabet Inc. earningsGOOG
Google Cloud serves enterprise cloud demand, while Kyndryl helps businesses modernize and manage cloud environments; Google’s report will test the market support for that opportunity.
Watch Google Cloud, not advertising. If cloud results strengthen, enterprise demand gives Kyndryl’s work moving and managing customer environments to the cloud a more supportive backdrop; if they weaken, that external support is less firm. Google’s results do not show how many projects Kyndryl wins; its own customers and revenue do.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s decision tracks the policy rate that influences market borrowing costs; when rates rise or fall, interest on Kyndryl’s $1 billion revolving-credit borrowing may rise or fall with them.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher-than-expected rates may raise interest costs on the $1 billion drawn under Kyndryl’s revolving credit facility, leaving less of its operating cash flow available for other needs.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower-than-expected rates may reduce interest costs on the $1 billion drawn under Kyndryl’s revolving credit facility, leaving more operating cash flow available for other needs.
Cognizant Technology Solutions earningsCTSH
Cognizant’s Financial Services business serves banks, insurers and other clients, giving Kyndryl readers a view of demand in Kyndryl’s largest customer industry.
Watch Cognizant’s Financial Services business. If it strengthens, that suggests technology-services demand among banks, insurers and other clients is supportive for a sector that provides about 45% of Kyndryl’s revenue; if it weakens, demand in this important customer industry may be under pressure. Cognizant is a signal from the same customer industry, not a measure of Kyndryl’s sales.
DXC Technology Company earningsDXC
DXC Technology’s Global Infrastructure Services overlaps directly with Kyndryl’s enterprise IT operations and modernization work, so its report will show whether demand supports their shared market.
Focus on DXC Technology’s Global Infrastructure Services business, not its company-wide results as a proxy for Kyndryl. If it strengthens, businesses are still paying for outsourced IT operations and infrastructure modernization; if it weakens, demand in the shared market may be soft. Neither outcome alone shows whether DXC is winning work from Kyndryl.
Kyndryl Holdings, Inc. earningsThis company
Kyndryl earns fees for advising businesses and running their technology, and this report will show whether revenue can grow without service costs taking a larger share as sales cycles lengthen.
Read revenue alongside cost of services as a share of revenue. If revenue grows while that share holds steady or falls, Kyndryl is bringing in more work without letting delivery costs take a bigger bite. If revenue stalls or falls while the share rises, slower sales and the cost of serving customers are squeezing the business. The first combination shows growth working alongside efficiency; the second shows that turning revenue into profit is getting harder.
