1st Source Corp is an Indiana bank holding company whose main subsidiary, 1st Source Bank, serves businesses and individuals primarily in Indiana, Michigan and Sarasota County, Florida. Customer deposits provide most of its funding. The bank earns most of its income from interest on loans, leases and investments, after subtracting interest paid on deposits and borrowings. It also provides trust, wealth advisory and insurance services.
Beyond its local banking business, the bank’s Specialty Finance Group finances construction and transportation equipment nationwide, including aircraft and trucks. This portfolio is concentrated in particular equipment types, but the bank says it does not depend on any single industry or client. Repayment often depends on borrowers successfully operating the assets being financed; earnings also depend on the gap between interest earned and funding costs.
The parent company relies primarily on dividends from 1st Source Bank to fund its own obligations and shareholder dividends. Federal and state rules limit those payments, and both the parent and bank must maintain required capital and sufficient liquidity.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.

Mercantile Bank Corp earningsMBWM

1st Source Corp earningsThis company
1st Source earns interest by lending and leasing to businesses and equipment buyers, and this report will show whether growth is outweighing funding costs and borrower risk.
Read loan and lease growth alongside credit quality and deposit costs. Growth with stable delinquencies and credit-loss provisions, while deposit costs stay controlled, would show that lending income is not being eaten up by borrower risk or funding prices. Slower growth, or rising delinquencies, provisions, and deposit costs, would point to pressure on that earnings engine.
Northwest Bancshares, Inc earningsNWBI
Northwest Bancshares' report will show how the cost of gathering deposits to fund loans is changing, offering a comparison for the deposit competition facing 1st Source.
Read Northwest Bancshares' deposit costs alongside its deposit balances or changes in them; different deposit mixes mean the banks' cost levels are not directly comparable. Steady deposits with flat or falling costs would suggest less pressure to pay for funding, easing similar market pressure on 1st Source. Rising costs would show that banks may need to pay more to retain or attract deposits, a cost pressure that also matters to 1st Source.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s decision on its policy interest rate matters to 1st Source because it can change what the bank earns on loans and leases versus what it pays depositors, affecting its primary source of income, net interest income.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates than expected could lift income on repricing loans and new lending, but may also raise deposit costs; the net effect on 1st Source’s earnings depends on how its asset and funding rates move relative to each other.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates than expected could reduce income on repricing loans and new lending, while easing the interest 1st Source pays on deposits; the earnings effect depends on which changes faster or by more.
