U.S. Gold Corp. focuses on advancing CK Gold in Wyoming, a proposed gold, copper and silver mine with established mineral reserves. Its Keystone property in Nevada and Challis Gold property in Idaho remain exploration projects without proven or probable reserves. The company has not produced metals or earned revenue and has mainly funded its activities by issuing shares.
At CK Gold, the company plans to mine ore from an open pit, crush and grind it, and separate out a gold-rich copper concentrate. A smelter would buy that concentrate and extract the metals. This is a planned source of revenue, not an operating business today.
CK Gold needs substantial additional financing before construction and production can proceed. Construction was paused pending demonstration of adequate financing for the full project. Its Wyoming Industrial Siting Permit runs through June 2027 and will expire unless construction resumes and continues under its conditions before then. The business therefore depends on securing funding and meeting that deadline; gold prices also strongly influence its access to funding and potential mining profitability.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Western Copper and Gold Corporation and U.S. Gold both need to turn unbuilt copper-gold projects into producing mines, exposing them to gold and copper prices and construction financing. Western has no mining revenue; progress at its sole project, Casino in Canada's Yukon, offers a comparison for CK Gold's development.
International Tower Hill Mines, Ltd. and U.S. Gold both face the task of bringing U.S. deposits with established mineral reserves into production, with gold prices and financing important to both. Its unbuilt Livengood gold project in Alaska offers a development comparison for CK Gold, which already has the permits needed to begin construction.
Dakota Gold Corp. offers an earlier-stage comparison for U.S. Gold: Dakota explores U.S. gold projects for eventual development, while U.S. Gold is further along with its Wyoming gold-copper project.
Mayfair Gold Corp. shares U.S. Gold's reliance on advancing a main project before mining revenue can begin: Fenn-Gib for Mayfair and CK Gold for U.S. Gold. Mayfair has no operating revenue or cash flow, and setbacks at its sole material property, Fenn-Gib in Ontario, highlight the exposure that comes with concentrating development on one project.
Centerra Gold Inc. provides an operating gold-copper comparison for U.S. Gold's planned CK Gold mine through Mount Milligan in British Columbia, alongside North American development projects. Watch Mount Milligan's gold-copper operating results for a producing-mine perspective on the metals CK Gold plans to sell in concentrate to a smelter.
Barrick Mining Corporation already earns money from gold and copper, the two principal metals driving the economics of U.S. Gold's planned CK Gold mine. Its gold-mine results and those of the Lumwana copper mine offer separate views of the two metal markets CK Gold would depend on.
Hudbay Minerals Inc. shares CK Gold's exposure to copper and gold prices and mine-building economics, but already produces copper and meaningful amounts of gold. Its experience developing and ramping up Peru's Constancia open-pit mine offers a concrete comparison for U.S. Gold's proposed open-pit operation.
Kinross Gold Corporation's U.S. gold mines expose it to the gold prices and domestic mining economics behind U.S. Gold's proposed Wyoming mine. Kinross sells refined gold to banks and refiners; results from Fort Knox, Manh Choh, Bald Mountain and Round Mountain provide a U.S. operating comparison for CK Gold.
Freeport-McMoRan Inc. earns most of its revenue from copper and gold, giving U.S. Gold holders a producing-mine comparison for CK Gold's planned gold-copper operation. Copper supplied 75% of Freeport's 2025 consolidated revenue and gold 15%, so its results offer a more copper-heavy view of the shared metal-price exposure.
IAMGold Corporation shares U.S. Gold's exposure to gold prices and North American mine development, while already producing gold. Its Canadian Côté Gold and Westwood mines and Québec's Nelligan Mining Complex let investors compare operating gold mines with projects still being advanced.
Alamos Gold Inc. shares U.S. Gold's exposure to gold prices and North American mine construction, with operating mines in Canada and Mexico and Lynn Lake under construction in Manitoba. Lynn Lake's construction progress is the closest comparison for CK Gold, which has the permits needed to begin building.
Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.'s gold-focused portfolio, with substantial North American operations, shares the gold-price driver of U.S. Gold's Wyoming project. Agnico has traditionally sold all production at the spot gold price rather than locking in future prices, making its gold-sales results a useful view of the price exposure behind CK Gold's economics.
Freeport-McMoran Inc. earningsFCX
Freeport-McMoRan's report gives a producing-mine comparison for the copper and gold that U.S. Gold plans to sell from CK Gold.
Read Freeport-McMoRan's copper and gold sales alongside its mine operating results. Its business is much more copper-weighted, so it is especially a comparison for copper operations. Stronger results would show producing mines turning metal sales into operating results, a supportive comparison for CK Gold's copper-gold mix; weaker results would make output, costs, and metal prices important to separate. U.S. Gold still has to finance and build its own mine to test its economics.
Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. earningsAEM
Agnico Eagle sells its gold at spot prices, so its report shows how gold prices flow through to a producer's sales and mine results, a useful comparison for U.S. Gold's CK Gold project.
Read Agnico Eagle's gold sales together with mine costs and operating results. Strong sales and operating results would show spot gold prices supporting an established producer, a constructive comparison for CK Gold's gold-price exposure; strong sales but weaker operating results would show that output or costs can offset that benefit. CK Gold is not producing, so Agnico's results cannot establish that it will achieve the same outcome.
Western Copper and Gold Corporation earningsWRN
Western Copper & Gold is also advancing an unbuilt copper-gold project, so its report offers a similar-stage comparison for U.S. Gold's effort to move CK Gold toward a mine.
Look for progress at Western Copper & Gold's Casino project and whether it has funding to continue advancing it. Clear progress with enough funding for further work would show that an unbuilt copper-gold project can move forward before mining revenue begins, a more encouraging comparison for CK Gold; stalled progress or funding limits would underline that dependence on financing. The projects differ, so U.S. Gold's own funding and CK Gold progress remain decisive.
U.S. Gold Corp. earningsThis company
U.S. Gold has no mining revenue, so this report will show whether its cash can support further work on CK Gold.
Read the quarter-end cash balance alongside cash used in operations and any new financing. Slower cash use, or financing that adds cash, would suggest U.S. Gold can keep paying for permitting and engineering; faster cash use without new funds would shorten that runway and make CK Gold financing more urgent. Cash for near-term work still would not cover the much larger cost of building the mine.
