Incyte Genomics Inc discovers, develops and sells medicines for blood diseases, cancer, and inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. Its business centers on JAKAFI, a treatment for certain blood diseases and graft-versus-host disease, which accounts for most of total revenue. It also sells OPZELURA cream for atopic dermatitis and vitiligo, alongside other approved medicines.
Incyte sells its medicines to pharmacies, distributors and wholesalers that supply patients and healthcare providers. A small group of buyers accounts for most product sales, while most patients need insurance or other third-party coverage to afford treatment. In markets covered by licensing agreements, partners sell the medicines and pay Incyte royalties based on sales. Novartis sells ruxolitinib outside the United States as JAKAVI, and Lilly sells baricitinib as OLUMIANT; these are the main sources of royalty income.
The business depends heavily on continued JAKAFI demand and patent protection, as well as the prices and reimbursement that insurers and government payors allow. Medicines must retain regulatory approval, and labeling rules limit how Incyte can promote them. Partner-marketed products also depend on Novartis and Lilly’s commercial efforts.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Novartis turns sales of Incyte’s ruxolitinib outside the United States into royalty income for Incyte, while Incyte sells the medicine itself as JAKAFI in the United States. Watch Novartis’s JAKAVI sales: they generated $457.7 million in royalties for Incyte in 2025.
GSK’s Ojjaara competes for myelofibrosis patients with Incyte’s JAKAFI, its largest revenue source. Uptake of Ojjaara shows how much traction an alternative to JAKAFI is gaining.
Bristol Myers Squibb sells Inrebic to treat myelofibrosis, competing with Incyte’s revenue-leading JAKAFI. Watch Inrebic’s uptake among these patients rather than Bristol Myers Squibb’s overall drug sales.
Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Incyte share equally in the profits and losses from selling NIKTIMVO in the United States. Watch uptake in chronic graft-versus-host disease after at least two prior systemic treatments have failed, among adults and children weighing at least 40 kg.
Lilly pays Incyte a share of sales for licensed OLUMIANT, but its Ebglyss also competes with Incyte’s OPZELURA for atopic dermatitis patients. Watch OLUMIANT sales for Incyte’s royalty income and Ebglyss uptake for competition facing OPZELURA.
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is seeking approval to sell a generic version of Incyte’s biggest-selling medicine, JAKAFI, and is challenging its protective patents. Watch approval and patent-litigation news: generic entry could reduce JAKAFI sales, and Incyte’s case against Dr. Reddy’s remained pending as of the filing.
Regeneron’s Dupixent competes with Incyte’s OPZELURA for atopic dermatitis patients and with Incyte’s developing treatments for prurigo nodularis. Its uptake in those two patient groups is the relevant signal for Incyte’s dermatology business.
Sanofi’s Dupixent competes with Incyte’s OPZELURA in atopic dermatitis and overlaps with Incyte’s prurigo nodularis development program. Watch Dupixent demand in those conditions to assess competition for Incyte’s current cream and developing treatments.
AbbVie’s Rinvoq and Incyte’s OPZELURA both treat atopic dermatitis, so changes in which treatments doctors prescribe matter to both. Watch Rinvoq uptake in atopic dermatitis, where U.S. patient demand and refills helped drive OPZELURA’s 2025 growth alongside vitiligo.
Incyte has funded Prelude Therapeutics Incorporated and secured the right to buy its JAK2 V617F drug-development program, giving Incyte a potential addition to its hematology portfolio. Watch the program’s progress and whether Incyte exercises that option, which lasts up to 18 months from the agreement’s effective date.
Damora Therapeutics, Inc. is developing treatments targeting mutant calreticulin in myeloproliferative neoplasms and benchmarks them against Incyte’s INCA033989. Watch DMR-001’s clinical progress: Damora’s claimed potency and dosing advantages so far come from preclinical studies and modeling, not patient comparisons.
Incyte relies on MacroGenics, Inc. for the licensed antibody used in ZYNYZ and pays it for manufacturing services reserved under contract. Watch news on those services as ZYNYZ grows following its 2025 approval for squamous cell anal carcinoma.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited earningsRDY
If Dr. Reddy’s report shows progress toward approval or litigation of its generic JAKAFI, the competitive threat to Incyte’s largest product becomes more concrete.
Watch for substantive progress in the approval process or patent litigation over generic JAKAFI. Movement toward approval or launch would mean Incyte’s JAKAFI sales could face generic competition sooner; no new progress would make the near-term threat less immediate, but would not resolve the patent dispute.
Novartis AG earningsNVS
Novartis’s report will show how changes in JAKAVI sales outside the United States feed into Incyte’s royalty income.
Read Novartis’s JAKAVI sales alongside Incyte’s reported JAKAVI royalties. Stronger JAKAVI sales would support this source of Incyte’s overseas income; weaker sales would reduce that support. Incyte sells JAKAFI itself in the United States, so the two sales streams should not be conflated.
GSK plc earningsGSK
GSK’s report will show how Ojjaara is selling to people with myelofibrosis, a patient group in which it competes with JAKAFI.
Look for GSK’s disclosures on Ojjaara use and sales, rather than relying on its overall drug revenue. Growing use in myelofibrosis would show that this specific alternative is gaining ground against JAKAFI; limited growth would mean less pressure from this rival, not that JAKAFI faces no other competition.
Incyte Genomics Inc earningsThis company
Incyte’s report will show whether OPZELURA and newer products are taking on more of the growth, reducing the business’s reliance on JAKAFI.
Compare product revenue from JAKAFI with revenue from OPZELURA and newer products. Faster growth and a rising share from the latter would show that new products are widening Incyte’s revenue base; if growth still comes mainly from JAKAFI, the business remains more exposed to that drug’s eventual loss of exclusivity.
Eli Lilly & Co. earningsLLY
Lilly’s report can show both the support OLUMIANT sales provide for Incyte’s royalties and the competitive traction Ebglyss is gaining against OPZELURA.
Read OLUMIANT sales separately from Ebglyss use in atopic dermatitis. Growing OLUMIANT sales would support Incyte’s royalty income; rising Ebglyss use would signal stronger competition for OPZELURA. If the first grows while the second gains little ground, one collaboration income stream is supported and pressure on the dermatology business is more limited; the reverse would mean less royalty support and a stronger alternative to OPZELURA.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc earningsREGN
Regeneron’s report will show how Dupixent is gaining ground in atopic dermatitis, where it competes with OPZELURA for patients.
Watch Regeneron’s disclosures on Dupixent use in atopic dermatitis, not just total Dupixent sales. Rising use would show doctors and patients are adopting this alternative, making it harder for OPZELURA to win or retain patients; limited growth would mean less pressure from Dupixent, but would not by itself establish how OPZELURA sales are doing.
Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Inc. earningsSNDX
Syndax Pharmaceuticals’ report will show whether NIKTIMVO is gaining use among eligible chronic graft-versus-host disease patients, with sales shared between Syndax and Incyte.
Look for Syndax’s disclosures on NIKTIMVO sales or use among eligible patients. Growing use would mean more sales from this U.S. co-commercialized drug to share between the two companies; limited use would mean a smaller revenue base for both, and Syndax’s overall results would not substitute for this product-specific signal.
