Relmada Therapeutics’ lead candidate, NDV-01, treats bladder cancer that has not invaded the bladder’s muscle layer. Now in Phase 2 trials, it is designed to release gemcitabine and docetaxel continuously inside the bladder. Its second candidate, sepranolone, is being developed for conditions including Prader-Willi syndrome and Tourette syndrome.
Neither drug is approved for sale, and Relmada has not generated revenue. It funds development through capital raised from investors rather than customer payments. Relmada licenses NDV-01 from Trigone, with exclusive rights outside Israel, India and South Africa; the agreement requires milestone payments and royalties on any future net sales.
The business depends on these two candidates demonstrating safety and effectiveness, obtaining regulatory approval and reaching commercial sale. Any approval may limit the diseases or patient groups a drug can treat. Relmada relies on outside organizations to manufacture its drugs and conduct studies, and further clinical development depends on securing additional financing.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Relmada’s prospects hinge on NDV-01 and sepranolone trial results, with Soleno Therapeutics’ approved VYKAT XR another important competitor to its Prader-Willi syndrome program.
CG Oncology’s cretostimogene competes with Relmada’s NDV-01 for patients seeking drug treatment that preserves the bladder in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Watch cretostimogene’s clinical results in high- and intermediate-risk patients, the groups CG Oncology is targeting.
UroGen Pharma already sells a bladder-preserving treatment that competes with Relmada’s investigational NDV-01: Zusduri releases mitomycin inside the bladder, while NDV-01 is designed to release gemcitabine and docetaxel. Watch Zusduri sales for recurrent low-grade, intermediate-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, rather than UroGen’s separate upper-urinary-tract product Jelmyto.
Protara Therapeutics’ investigational TARA-002 competes with Relmada’s NDV-01 to treat non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Protara has no revenue, so TARA-002’s clinical progress—not product sales—is the relevant news for Relmada holders.
ImmunityBio already sells ANKTIVA with BCG in the bladder-preserving treatment market Relmada’s NDV-01 aims to enter. Watch ANKTIVA sales for adults with BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer with carcinoma in situ, with or without papillary tumors.
Johnson & Johnson’s TAR-200 program competes with Relmada’s NDV-01 in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer: TAR-200 delivers gemcitabine locally in the bladder, while NDV-01 uses controlled release of gemcitabine and docetaxel.
Aardvark Therapeutics’ ARD-101 competes with Relmada’s sepranolone program for patients with Prader-Willi syndrome, targeting the condition’s excessive hunger and eating. Aardvark has no approved products or product-sales revenue, making ARD-101’s clinical and approval progress the news to watch.
Bright Minds Biosciences is preparing serotonin-targeted treatments for Prader-Willi syndrome that would compete with Relmada’s sepranolone program. Watch preparations for BMB-101’s Phase 2 PWS trial and BMB-105’s work toward clearance to begin clinical testing; neither is a commercial product.
Rhythm Pharmaceuticals and Relmada have clinical-stage candidates competing to treat excessive hunger and eating in Prader-Willi syndrome. Watch Rhythm’s PWS development news separately from IMCIVREE sales, which serve other specified rare-obesity populations.
ImmunityBio, Inc. earningsIBRX
ImmunityBio's report will show how ANKTIVA sales are developing in the bladder-preserving market Relmada's NDV-01 also aims to enter.
Focus on ANKTIVA sales for patients with BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, not ImmunityBio's overall results. Stronger sales would show commercial uptake for an existing treatment in this specific setting, where NDV-01 would also seek patients; weaker sales would show that pull is not yet evident, but would not prove there is no demand for NDV-01.
Protara Therapeutics, Inc. earningsTARA
Protara Therapeutics' report will show whether TARA-002 is advancing in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, a treatment field Relmada's NDV-01 also targets.
Look for TARA-002 clinical progress, not sales: Protara has no product revenue. Advancement would show another candidate moving toward the bladder-cancer treatment market NDV-01 targets, making the future competition more concrete; delay or a setback could ease that pressure, but would not establish that NDV-01 works or will be approved.
Relmada Therapeutics, Inc. earningsThis company
Relmada Therapeutics has no product revenue, so its report will show whether funding is moving NDV-01 and sepranolone forward.
Read clinical-study spending, candidate updates and cash together. Spending alongside progress, with cash to support further work, would show the funding is being put to use; limited progress, or further trials still on hold pending financing, would show it has not yet translated into execution.
Aardvark Therapeutics, Inc. earningsAARD
Aardvark Therapeutics' report will show whether ARD-101 is advancing for Prader-Willi syndrome, where Relmada is also developing sepranolone.
Track ARD-101's clinical and regulatory progress, not sales: Aardvark has no approved products or product-sales revenue. Movement toward trials or regulatory milestones would show another company advancing toward the same patients and a potential future competitor for sepranolone; a pause or setback would ease near-term pressure but would not tell whether sepranolone can succeed.
