Company

Company overview

UiPath helps organizations automate work across their existing software systems. Its platform combines software robots that perform tasks in applications, AI agents for workflows requiring judgment, and human participation. Its Maestro layer coordinates these processes across systems and teams. Customers can run the platform on their own infrastructure or use UiPath’s managed Automation Cloud service.

Organizations pay UiPath for software licenses, ongoing maintenance and support, and hosted software access. Maintenance, support and cloud subscriptions together bring in most revenue, followed by licenses; implementation and training services contribute a small share. UiPath sells directly and through channel partners, which account for a substantial amount of revenue.

Almost all revenue comes from the UiPath Platform, and most comes from larger customers. The business depends on customers renewing contracts and extending automation to more work, as well as the platform continuing to work with third-party software. Privacy rules can limit personal-data processing and automated decision-making, while cross-border data-transfer restrictions constrain where and how UiPath can move customer data.
