IDT Corporation’s largest business, IDT Digital Payments, lets customers buy airtime and data for mobile accounts, mainly abroad. Customers pay through BOSS apps, websites or retailers, and IDT arranges the recharge through mobile operators or aggregators. BOSS Revolution serves mainly immigrant communities with prepaid international calls, charging by the minute or calling plan. IDT Global earns revenue from telecom providers by carrying their international calls and messages to destination networks. Together, these businesses generate most of IDT’s revenue and depend on carrier relationships and access to destination networks.
BOSS Money helps U.S. customers send money domestically and abroad through apps and authorized retail agents. It earns transaction fees and the difference between the exchange rate it pays and the rate it offers customers. Its business depends on immigrants’ ability to earn and send money, and on banks and payout partners delivering funds. Money-transmitter licenses and anti-money-laundering requirements govern its operations; noncompliance can restrict or end its authority to provide transfers.
IDT also serves independent retailers through NRS and businesses through net2phone. NRS supplies checkout equipment and store-management software, then earns recurring software fees and commissions when merchants accept electronic payments through NRS Pay. It also sells advertising on checkout screens and licenses transaction data. Revenue depends on retaining stores and payment-processing accounts. NRS cannot process card payments independently: it relies on a payment facilitator, sponsor bank and card networks, whose compliance reviews can suspend merchants’ processing. net2phone charges businesses monthly fees per user for cloud calling and contact-center services, while its AI Agent and Coach services use subscription bundles of interaction credits.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
IDT relies on prepaid telecom demand and growth in remittances, merchant services and cloud communications, with Square and Clover worth watching as important rivals to its NRS merchant platform.
Euronet competes for customers who pay IDT's BOSS Money to send money and buy international mobile top-ups from IDT Digital Payments, through its money-transfer and prepaid distribution businesses. Watch Euronet's Money Transfer and epay revenue rather than its ATM business to follow these two fronts of competition.
Western Union competes with IDT for consumers paying to send money or top up mobile accounts abroad, through both retail outlets and digital channels. Its money-transfer pricing and customers' choice of channel are worth watching because BOSS Money typically earns higher margins on digital transfers than on retail transfers.
Remitly competes directly with IDT's BOSS Money for digital cross-border transfers; both earn customer transaction fees and the difference between the exchange rates they charge and pay. Watch Remitly's active customers and send volume as BOSS Money pursues customers moving from cash-funded retail transfers to bank-funded digital transfers.
Lightspeed competes with IDT's NRS by selling merchants checkout software and payment services, though it targets more sophisticated retailers and hospitality businesses rather than NRS's small independent stores. Watch Lightspeed's North American retail business: IDT says increased competition has already slowed NRS terminal and payment-account additions and raised customer churn.
IQSTEL competes with IDT Global for telecom companies' international calls and text messages, earning revenue by carrying that traffic between originating and destination networks. Its telecom-services revenue is the relevant line to watch for competition in this wholesale traffic business.
SurgePays overlaps with IDT in processing store transactions, selling in-store advertising to marketers and providing prepaid services to underserved consumers. Watch its store-processing and advertising business for competition with NRS, rather than treating all of its wireless revenue as a match for IDT.
RingCentral competes with IDT's net2phone for businesses paying subscriptions for cloud calling, messaging and contact-center services. Watch its contact-center subscriptions alongside net2phone's uContact business, where growth in higher-revenue, higher-margin user seats helped net2phone's results.
Crexendo competes with IDT's net2phone for businesses buying cloud telephone, collaboration and contact-center services, while also licensing communications software to service providers. Its cloud telecommunications revenue is the closer comparison for net2phone; its software licenses instead charge providers by simultaneous sessions rather than user seats.
T-Mobile's international calling plans give paying mobile customers an alternative to IDT's prepaid BOSS Revolution service, and it also competes with IDT Global to carry long-distance calls for other telecom providers. Watch its international calling offers: IDT says mobile operators' unlimited plans reduce prepaid calling revenue as they gain subscribers.
AT&T competes for customers paying IDT's BOSS Revolution for international calls and for telecom providers buying long-distance call handling from IDT Global. Its international-plan pricing matters for BOSS Revolution's revenue and margins, which IDT says face pressure from cheaper competing calls and mobile operators' unlimited plans.
Verizon's international calling plans compete for consumers paying IDT's BOSS Revolution for prepaid calls, while its wholesale long-distance services compete for IDT Global's telecom customers. Watch changes to its international calling plans rather than its overall broadband business for a clearer view of the substitution pressure on BOSS Revolution.
AT&T Inc. earningsT
AT&T's report can show whether its international calling plans are attracting consumers who might otherwise buy IDT's BOSS Revolution prepaid calls.
Focus on the pricing and uptake of AT&T's international calling plans, not its broadband or total subscriber figures. More attractive plans with greater uptake would give consumers more reason to choose them over BOSS Revolution's prepaid calls; weaker offers would point to less substitution pressure, though one company's results cannot establish the whole market's direction.
RINGCENTRAL, INC. earningsRNG
RingCentral's report will show demand and competition for cloud calling and contact-center services, where it and IDT's net2phone seek the same business customers.
Read RingCentral's contact-center subscription performance alongside net2phone's effort to grow higher-revenue, higher-margin uContact seats. Growth at RingCentral would show businesses are still buying these services, but also that net2phone faces active competition; weakness would ease that competitive signal, not prove net2phone is winning customers.
Euronet Worldwide Inc earningsEEFT
Euronet's epay prepaid business can show demand for prepaid services at retailers, offering a competitive read-through for IDT Digital Payments' international mobile top-ups.
Watch Euronet's epay prepaid business, not its ATM results. Growth would show support for prepaid-service demand and distribution, a positive market signal for IDT Digital Payments' top-ups but also evidence of active competition; weakness would suggest the channel may be cooling, not establish how IDT's top-up sales are performing.
Remitly Global, Inc. earningsRELY
Remitly's active customers and send volume will show demand for digital cross-border transfers, the channel IDT's BOSS Money is pursuing for bank-funded transfers.
Read Remitly's active-customer count and send volume together. Growth in both would show that digital cross-border transfers are expanding in reach and usage, supporting the channel shift BOSS Money is pursuing; a stall in either would mean less evidence of that tailwind, not establish BOSS Money's own results.
Lightspeed Commerce Inc. earningsLSPD
Lightspeed's North American retail business can show demand for checkout software and payment services in a market related to IDT's NRS merchant terminals and payment accounts.
Watch Lightspeed's North American retail business rather than applying its overall results directly to NRS. Growth would show related retailers are still buying checkout and payment services, but Lightspeed serves more sophisticated merchants, so it does not establish growth among NRS's small independent stores; weakness would signal pressure in the adjacent market, not a gain for NRS.
IQSTEL INC. earningsIQST
IQSTEL's telecom-services revenue will show how competition is developing in wholesale international voice and messaging, a market where IDT Global carries traffic between networks for telecom companies.
Read IQSTEL's telecom-services revenue as a competitive signal, not a direct market-share comparison. Growth would show a competitor expanding its wholesale traffic business, though it could also reflect stronger overall demand for calls and messages; weakness would ease the signal of competitive expansion, but would not prove IDT Global is carrying more traffic.

IDT's report will show whether NRS, Fintech and net2phone can add revenue and operating income while BOSS Revolution faces pressure.
Read revenue and operating income for NRS, Fintech and net2phone together, then compare them with Traditional Communications. Growth in both measures across the first three businesses would show IDT broadening its earnings base; if they weaken while Traditional Communications still carries much of the business, pressure at BOSS Revolution will be harder for other units to offset.
