Cardlytics helps advertisers reach shoppers through offers in participating banks’ websites and mobile apps in the United States and United Kingdom. Banks supply anonymized purchase histories, which Cardlytics uses to choose audiences and measure subsequent in-store and online purchases. Advertisers and their agencies pay campaign fees tied to purchases or engagement with offers. Those fees fund customer purchase incentives, and Cardlytics shares advertising proceeds with participating banks. This network supplies most of the company’s revenue.
The business depends heavily on a small group of bank partners, including Chase and Wells Fargo, for both purchase data and access to customers. Banks control which offers appear and how prominently they are displayed; the largest partner has increased restrictions on eligible advertisers. Bank of America’s partnership ended in February 2026. Cardlytics also needs advertisers to keep buying campaigns, since most do not make long-term spending commitments. Privacy rules and partners’ limits on data use constrain its ability to target customers and measure results.
Its smaller Bridg business earns subscription fees for a customer-data platform that links merchants’ checkout transactions to anonymized customer profiles for marketing and analysis. Cardlytics has agreed to sell substantially all Bridg-related assets to a PAR Technology Corporation affiliate, but the sale has not closed and Bridg remains part of the company.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
AppLovin and Cardlytics both sell advertisers campaigns built around returns on ad spending, making campaign effectiveness a shared pressure point. Watch AppLovin’s Axon Ads Manager revenue: it matches advertisers with users through publishers, while Cardlytics targets bank customers using purchase histories.
The Trade Desk competes with Cardlytics for digital ad budgets by helping advertisers and agencies reach consumers and measure results with data. Its platform-fee revenue reflects spending through its ad-buying tools, whereas Cardlytics earns from targeted offers in digital banking channels.
Teads Holding Co. competes with Cardlytics for advertisers’ targeted-advertising and measurement budgets, but sells access to media owners’ audiences rather than bank customers. Watch advertiser purchases through Teads’ platform, where it earns revenue from ads priced by clicks or impressions.
Viant Technology Inc. and Cardlytics offer marketers and agencies targeted advertising and measurement, using identity and purchase information to select audiences. Viant earns from tools for buying ads across connected TV, audio and other digital channels; watch agency campaign reductions or cancellations, which its contracts generally allow.
PAR Technology Corp., which sells software, payments and hardware to restaurants and retailers, agreed to buy Cardlytics’ Bridg business with PAR shares, tying the pending sale’s proceeds and completion directly to PAR. Watch for closing: Bridg’s purchase-data marketing business remains in Cardlytics’ results until then, and its revenue and expenses are expected to leave ongoing results afterward.
Amazon’s commerce advertising business offers advertisers an alternative to Cardlytics for reaching shoppers: both use shopping information to target consumers and measure sales.
PubMatic, Inc. and Cardlytics both depend on digital advertising demand, but PubMatic helps publishers and commerce networks sell ad space while Cardlytics sells ads in bank channels. Watch PubMatic’s publisher-fee revenue, generally a share of the value of ads sold through its platform, as a read on spending outside banking channels.
System1, Inc. offers advertisers another way to find likely buyers, using search and owned-website behavior where Cardlytics uses bank customers’ purchase histories. Watch how System1 turns search intent and responses to ads into advertising revenue, rather than treating its website traffic as equivalent to Cardlytics’ purchase-based reach.
Amazon.Com Inc earningsAMZN
Amazon’s report will show how much advertisers spend on its shopping ads, a direct alternative to Cardlytics’ purchase-data targeting.
Watch Amazon’s advertising revenue; its shopping traffic is not the same as Cardlytics’ reach through bank apps. Rising ad revenue would show advertisers still pay to reach shoppers, intensifying competition for similar marketing budgets. Falling revenue would point to weaker demand for shopping ads, but would not establish that Cardlytics’ bank-channel campaigns are also declining.
Cardlytics, Inc. earningsThis company
Cardlytics’ report will show whether marketers still pay for its bank-channel ads and whether that revenue covers bank-partner shares and other costs.
Read billings alongside Adjusted Contribution, the revenue left after partner shares and other third-party costs. Stable billings and a smaller decline in contribution would show that marketer demand and the amount retained after partner costs are improving. If both keep falling, new campaigns are not replacing lost business. Then check whether the operating loss narrows: that shows whether what remains is covering the company’s operating expenses.
PAR Technology Corp. earningsPAR
PAR Technology’s report may show progress on its agreed Bridg purchase; once the deal closes, Bridg’s revenue and expenses will leave Cardlytics’ ongoing results.
Look for whether PAR says the transaction has closed or remains pending. If it has closed, Bridg’s revenue and expenses will no longer be part of Cardlytics’ ongoing results. If it has not, Bridg remains in those results for now and completion is still uncertain. PAR’s report alone does not prove closing; confirm the status in the companies’ disclosures.
Retail Sales MoM (Oct)
Retail sales track how much consumers spend at retailers; for Cardlytics, those purchases can generate fees on campaign-served purchases and sustain marketers’ demand for advertising.
If retail spending is stronger, Cardlytics may see more campaign-served purchases and firmer marketer demand; if weaker, purchase-based fees and campaign budgets may face pressure.
