Tecnoglass Holdings Inc. supplies commercial and residential buildings with glass, windows, doors and facade systems. Developers, contractors, installers and distributors pay it for these products and, on some projects, installation. Finished windows and architectural systems generate most revenue, rather than separate glass and framing components. Commercial construction is the larger end market, while residential construction also contributes substantially.
The company generally manufactures to order, handling glass processing, frame production and window assembly in Colombia before distributing and sometimes installing finished products in the United States. Most production is concentrated at its Barranquilla facility, making reliable operation there central to fulfilling customer orders.
Almost all sales come from the United States, overwhelmingly from Florida, although no single customer dominates revenue. The business therefore depends heavily on construction and renovation demand in that market. Building codes, including hurricane-protection requirements, influence demand for its impact-resistant windows and doors and the standards its products must meet. U.S. tariffs add costs to products supplied from its Colombian manufacturing base.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Tecnoglass remains heavily dependent on Florida construction demand and reliable raw-glass supply, making its minority-owned Vidrio Andino a company to watch.
Apogee Enterprises Inc competes with Tecnoglass for North American commercial construction projects, selling architectural windows, curtain walls and aluminum exterior systems to the building market. Watch demand for Apogee’s Architectural Metals products for a read on the commercial market that buys Tecnoglass’s windows and facades.
Builders FirstSource’s demand from U.S. homebuilders is a useful signal for Tecnoglass’s residential windows: it sells builders materials, windows and doors, while U.S. single-family residential sales made up 41.0% of Tecnoglass’s total sales in 2025. Watch its homebuilder demand, especially for windows and doors.
Owens Corning and Tecnoglass both depend on spending on the outside of buildings: Owens Corning sells roofing, insulation and doors, while Tecnoglass sells windows and facades to construction customers. Its Doors sales offer a related view of demand for these building products, rather than a direct measure of window demand.
Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. shares Tecnoglass’s exposure to North American home construction, selling exterior doors and other home products through wholesalers and retailers while Tecnoglass supplies residential windows and doors. Its Outdoors business, which sells entry-door systems and other exterior products, is the part to watch for related spending.
Louisiana-Pacific and Tecnoglass share demand from homebuilding and purchases for home exteriors: Louisiana-Pacific sells engineered-wood siding and trim to builders and distribution channels, while Tecnoglass supplies residential windows. Watch its siding and trim sales for a view of exterior-product demand alongside windows.
Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. and Tecnoglass both depend on the volume of North American residential and commercial building projects: Simpson sells connectors and anchors that join and secure wood and concrete structures, while Tecnoglass supplies windows and facades. Watch Simpson’s North American construction-product demand for a broader read on building activity.
Boise Cascade Company shares the U.S. homebuilding demand behind Tecnoglass’s residential-window sales: it manufactures engineered wood and distributes building materials, while Tecnoglass supplies windows for homes.
Housing Starts (Sep)
For Tecnoglass, new-home starts, permits and sales track building activity that can create demand for its windows, doors and architectural systems sold to U.S. residential customers, who accounted for 41% of its 2025 revenue.
Expected1.31MLast release1.275M
If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 1.31M estimate, it is above the previous 1.275M. If more homes are started, permitted or sold than estimated, stronger building activity may bring more orders for Tecnoglass's residential windows, doors and architectural systems, supporting sales through its contractors, developers and specialty dealers.
If it comes in below expectations
If fewer homes are started, permitted or sold than estimated, weaker building activity may mean fewer orders for Tecnoglass's residential windows, doors and architectural systems from contractors, developers and specialty dealers.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
For Tecnoglass, Fed decisions on short-term interest rates matter because they can change SOFR, the benchmark rate on its revolving debt, and therefore the interest it pays on the $174 million outstanding at year-end.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
If the Fed sets rates above the estimate, higher rates can lift SOFR and raise the interest expense Tecnoglass pays on its revolving debt, leaving less cash from operations for other needs.
If it comes in below expectations
If the Fed sets rates below the estimate, lower rates can bring SOFR down and reduce the interest expense Tecnoglass pays on its revolving debt, leaving more cash from operations for other needs.
Builders FirstSource, Inc. earningsBLDR
Builders FirstSource’s report will show how U.S. homebuilder demand for windows and doors is moving, a useful read on the residential market that buys Tecnoglass’s windows.
Watch Builders FirstSource’s account of homebuilder demand, especially for windows and doors. Stronger demand would mean builders are buying more of the products used alongside Tecnoglass’s residential windows, supporting the market for Tecnoglass’s U.S. residential sales. Weaker demand would mean less support for that market, but would not by itself prove Tecnoglass orders are falling.
Tecnoglass Holdings Inc. earningsThis company
Tecnoglass’s report will show whether its U.S. commercial and residential sales can grow without giving up gross margin after manufacturing costs.
Read U.S. commercial and residential sales alongside gross margin, the share of revenue left after manufacturing costs. If both sales grow and margin holds or rises, demand is turning into revenue without eroding the amount left to cover other costs. If sales grow but margin falls, aluminum, tariff or transport costs may be rising faster than Tecnoglass can pass them on, making that growth less profitable.
Apogee Enterprises Inc earningsAPOG
Apogee’s report will show how demand for architectural exterior systems is developing in commercial construction and how this competitor is faring.
Watch Apogee’s Architectural Metals business, while separating market demand from competitive results. Stronger sales would show that commercial projects are moving ahead, but could also mean Apogee is winning more work. Weaker sales could point to a softer market or to Apogee-specific weakness. Either outcome helps frame the market and competition facing Tecnoglass’s commercial windows and facades, but does not establish how many projects Tecnoglass wins.
