Trekor Metals Limited earns most of its revenue and operating cash flow from its wholly owned Gibraltar Mine in British Columbia. It processes ore into copper concentrate for sale to metal buyers, with molybdenum providing a smaller revenue source. Copper-concentrate sales depend on a small group of customers, and shipments to overseas markets rely on CN rail and the Pembina port terminal in Vancouver. Sales proceeds depend on the metal content and market prices.
Its wholly owned Florence Copper operation in Arizona has begun producing copper cathode and is ramping up. Rather than excavating the ore, it circulates a solution underground to dissolve copper, then extracts the copper from that solution into saleable metal sheets. Mitsui is entitled to most of Florence’s cathode output during the initial production years under its purchase arrangements. Florence’s growing contribution depends on expanding the wellfield and sustaining commercial-scale recovery.
Florence must meet the conditions of its aquifer-protection and underground-injection permits. Other mineral projects remain development assets rather than established revenue sources. At New Prosperity, the company has agreed not to undertake exploration or development or own a future mine; development cannot proceed without the Tŝilhqot'in Nation’s consent.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Hudbay Minerals and Trekor both earn money from copper, so copper prices and British Columbia mine economics matter to both; each also has copper projects in development. Watch Hudbay’s Copper Mountain operations for a regional comparison with Gibraltar, rather than treating its gold production as a signal for Trekor.
Teck Resources and Trekor share exposure to copper and molybdenum prices and British Columbia mining costs: Teck’s Highland Valley and Trekor’s Gibraltar mine both metals. Highland Valley’s operating results offer a closer comparison for Gibraltar than Teck’s zinc business does, while copper sales are a major revenue source for both companies.
Freeport-McMoRan and Trekor both sell copper and molybdenum, linking their results to the same metal prices. Freeport’s Morenci operations in Arizona also offer a regional comparison for Trekor’s Florence Copper, though their ore bodies and cost structures need not match.
Ero Copper and Trekor both sell copper products and are expanding output from recently commissioned operations, making new-mine ramp-up a useful comparison alongside copper prices. Watch copper concentrate production at Ero’s Tucumã, which entered commercial production in July 2025, against the progress of Trekor’s Florence cathode operation.
Southern Copper and Trekor earn revenue from copper and molybdenum products, so the same metal prices affect both. Southern Copper also extracts copper from solution and uses electricity to make cathode—the solvent extraction and electrowinning process used by Trekor—making its cathode operations another point of comparison.
BHP Group and Trekor both depend heavily on selling copper: it contributed more than half of BHP’s earnings in FY2026 and dominates Trekor’s business. Watch BHP’s copper results separately from iron ore and coal to judge the shared copper exposure.
Centerra Gold shares Trekor’s exposure to British Columbia copper mining through Mount Milligan, with molybdenum adding another overlapping metal. Its Langeloth facility buys molybdenum concentrate, upgrades it and sells to metallurgical and chemical markets, so those sales offer a view of a market that also pays Trekor for molybdenum.
Buenaventura’s substantial copper production and sales of copper-bearing concentrates to smelters and traders overlap with Trekor’s concentrate business, exposing both to copper prices and concentrate sale terms. Watch the deductions and later price adjustments in Buenaventura’s concentrate sales, not just tonnes produced, when comparing the revenue Trekor retains from Gibraltar.
Rio Tinto sells copper into the same metal market as Trekor, but iron ore contributes more to Rio’s earnings, making its overall results a less direct copper comparison. Watch Rio’s copper segment: its underlying EBITDA was US$7.4 billion in 2025, versus US$15.2 billion for iron ore.
Southern Copper Corporation earningsSCCO
Southern Copper’s report offers a read on the copper and molybdenum markets Trekor shares, and on the solution-to-cathode process used at Florence.
Look at Southern Copper’s copper business and, where reported, the output and costs of its solution-to-cathode operations. Steady output with controlled costs would show that the process is working well in its own operations and offer a steadier reference for the shared metals market. Weaker output or rising costs would flag pressure, but would not prove Florence faces the same issue.
Compania de Minas Buenaventura S.A. earningsBVN
Buenaventura sells copper-bearing concentrate, and its report can show how sales deductions and later price adjustments affect the revenue sellers retain.
Compare Buenaventura’s concentrate sales volumes with the effect of sales deductions and later price adjustments on revenue. If volumes hold but deductions or adjustments take a larger bite, concentrate sellers may be retaining less value, making Gibraltar’s concentrate revenue worth closer scrutiny. If volumes hold and the deductions have less effect, that pressure may be lighter. The companies’ contracts differ, so this is a read on sales terms, not a substitute for Trekor’s own settlement figures.
Teck Resources Limited earningsTECK
Teck’s Highland Valley mine and Gibraltar both produce copper and molybdenum in British Columbia, making its operating results a close regional comparison for Trekor.
Focus on production and operating costs at Teck’s Highland Valley mine, not its zinc business. Stable output with contained costs would show no clear operating strain at this regional copper mine and give Gibraltar a useful comparison. Falling output or rising costs would be a reason to check whether Gibraltar faces similar pressure. The mines have different ore bodies and operating conditions, so Teck’s results do not establish Gibraltar’s results.
Ero Copper Corp. earningsERO
Ero Copper’s report will show how copper-concentrate output is ramping at Tucumã, offering Trekor a comparison for Florence’s start-up.
See whether copper-concentrate output at Ero’s Tucumã rises as commercial production develops, then compare that progress with Florence’s cathode ramp-up. Rising Tucumã output would show new capacity coming through after start-up and provide a constructive comparison for Florence; stalled growth would highlight the execution challenges a new mine can face. The ore and production processes differ, so Ero’s results cannot establish how Florence will perform.
Trekor Metals Limited earningsThis company
Trekor’s report will show whether Florence Copper is adding cathode production while Gibraltar still supports the business.
Read Florence cathode output and ramp-up progress alongside Gibraltar copper output and mining earnings. Higher copper prices can lift revenue without showing that operations improved. Rising Florence output with costs under control, while Gibraltar holds steady, would show the new operation is adding to the business; slow Florence progress or weaker Gibraltar results would leave Trekor heavily reliant on its one operating mine.
