RCM Technologies’ largest business supplies healthcare professionals to U.S. healthcare institutions and school districts. Clients pay it to recruit and place people for temporary or longer-term assignments, including nurses and therapists, and to provide services such as online therapy for schools. Engineering supplies the next-largest share of revenue: utilities, aerospace and defense companies, and industrial clients hire RCM to design and support power systems, aircraft programs and industrial facilities. Its smaller Life Sciences, Data and Solutions business provides technology, compliance and data support through staffing, projects and managed services.
Clients pay for assigned professionals mainly by the hour, while project management and consulting work uses agreed fixed fees, hourly rates or both. Most services operate under purchase orders. Longer-term contracts generally do not commit customers to a minimum purchase, so revenue depends on clients continuing to commission work and on RCM recruiting and retaining suitable personnel.
Revenue is concentrated among a few customers: two account for substantial shares, and the five largest together supply more than half. School staffing also creates a seasonal pattern. Healthcare revenue falls during summer recess when the New York City Department of Education and other education clients close, while engineering and technology work depends on client spending and budget timing.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Kelly Services and RCM Technologies compete for school districts’ education and therapy staffing budgets and businesses’ spending on science, engineering and technology professionals. Kelly’s Education business is worth watching for changes in US school districts’ staffing demand that also matters to RCM.
AMN Healthcare Services and RCM Technologies compete for healthcare employers’ spending on nurses, allied-health professionals, physicians and recruitment services. AMN’s nurse and allied solutions business offers a view of demand for clinical staff that also supports RCM’s Specialty Health Care revenue.
ManpowerGroup’s Experis and Talent Solutions compete with RCM Technologies for employers paying for technical staff and for someone to run their recruitment process.
Everforth, Inc.’s described ASGN commercial business competes with RCM Technologies for companies’ IT consulting, temporary technical assignments and fixed-price projects. Watch its consulting work for Fortune 1000 and large mid-market clients: ASGN describes it as a higher-margin opportunity, while RCM also seeks more higher-margin solutions and project work.
Kforce and RCM Technologies compete for companies’ spending on individual IT consultants, project teams and work paid for defined outcomes. Kforce’s Technology segment generates 93% of its revenue, making that line worth watching for demand relevant to RCM’s technology services.
Robert Half competes with RCM Technologies’ Life Sciences, Data and Solutions business for corporate spending on technology staff and business consulting. Its technology talent services and Protiviti consulting business are the relevant areas to watch, rather than its broader staffing business.
Energy Services of America Corporation and RCM Technologies draw on the same utility and industrial investment budgets: the former builds and maintains power and industrial facilities, while RCM designs and engineers projects. Watch Energy Services of America’s Industrial Construction work in power and manufacturing facilities for clues to the spending that also supports RCM’s engineering business.
Kforce Inc. earningsKFRC
Kforce’s report will show whether corporate spending on IT consultants and project teams—the market its Technology segment largely serves—is also supporting RCM Technologies’ data and technology services.
Read Kforce’s Technology-segment revenue alongside its operating income. Growth in both would suggest that companies are still spending on technology consultants and project services, a supportive demand signal for RCM Technologies; falling revenue or operating income that lags would point to pressure on client budgets or delivery economics. Kforce’s business is not identical to RCM’s data and technology services, but both seek similar corporate technology spending. The takeaway is whether that shared market is expanding or tightening.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s policy-rate decision signals the direction of borrowing rates that can affect what RCM Technologies pays on its $24.7 million of revolving-credit borrowings, which are priced against SOFR or the bank’s prime rate.

If it comes in above expectations
If policy rates come in above expectations, RCM Technologies may pay more interest as its SOFR- or prime-rate-linked borrowing costs rise, leaving less earnings from its staffing and engineering services.
If it comes in below expectations
If policy rates come in below expectations, RCM Technologies may pay less interest as its SOFR- or prime-rate-linked borrowing costs ease, leaving more earnings after interest expense.
RCM Technologies Inc earningsThis company
RCM Technologies’ report will show whether customer spending on healthcare staffing and engineering work is supporting revenue and segment operating income.
Read revenue and operating income together for Specialty Health Care, Engineering, and Life Sciences, Data & Solutions. Rising revenue and operating income in healthcare and engineering would show that client spending and the economics of delivering the work are both supporting the business. If revenue rises but operating income does not keep pace, service mix or delivery costs may be absorbing the gains; if both fall, client demand is weighing on the business. Steady revenue in Life Sciences, Data & Solutions would show that this part of the business is holding up. The conclusion is which client businesses are driving results and whether the work is producing matching profit.
AMN Healthcare Services earningsAMN
AMN Healthcare Services’ nurse and allied-health business will show whether healthcare employers’ spending on clinical staff is also supporting RCM Technologies’ Specialty Health Care business.
Compare revenue and operating performance in AMN’s nurse and allied solutions with revenue and operating income in RCM Technologies’ Specialty Health Care segment. Strength at AMN alongside steady or rising results at RCM would suggest clinical-staff demand is supporting RCM; weakness at AMN would warn that healthcare employers are reducing that spending. RCM’s segment also includes school staffing, so the figures are not directly comparable. The takeaway is whether demand for clinical staff is providing more or less support to RCM.
Kelly Services Inc earningsKELYA
Kelly Services’ Education business will show whether US school districts are maintaining staffing demand, a customer market for RCM Technologies’ Specialty Health Care business.
Read revenue and operating performance in Kelly Services’ Education business. Steady or stronger results would suggest US school districts are still paying for education staffing, a positive demand signal for RCM Technologies’ school staffing and therapy work; weaker results would point to tighter district budgets. RCM does not report school work separately, and its Specialty Health Care segment also serves healthcare institutions. The takeaway is whether school-district spending is supporting or weighing on one part of RCM’s demand.
Energy Services of America Corporation earningsESOA
Energy Services of America Corporation’s Industrial Construction business will show whether investment in power and manufacturing facilities is active, spending that can also support RCM Technologies’ engineering work.
Compare revenue and operating income in Energy Services of America Corporation’s Industrial Construction business with revenue and operating income in RCM Technologies’ Engineering segment. Strength at Energy Services of America would suggest power or manufacturing facility investment is moving ahead, a demand clue for related RCM engineering work; weakness would suggest those shared investment budgets may be contracting. Their projects and business scope differ, and RCM’s segment also includes aerospace services. The takeaway is whether utility and industrial investment is supporting RCM’s engineering business.
