Company

Company overview

Perion Network Ltd. helps brands reach audiences and manage advertising campaigns across websites, connected TVs and digital outdoor screens. Most revenue comes from Advertising Solutions. Its Perion One platform executes campaigns, while its Outmax AI agent allocates spending and adjusts delivery as campaigns run. Agencies and advertising-buying or selling platforms are its main advertising customers; Perion generally bills these intermediaries rather than the brands they represent. It also helps publishers and media owners sell advertising space.

A smaller business earns search advertising fees. Publishers and app developers incorporate Perion’s search offerings into their products, and search partners pay Perion fees tied to transaction volume and the advertising revenue generated, under revenue-sharing arrangements. Following the end of its former Microsoft Bing arrangement, Perion is transitioning this business primarily to Yahoo and expects that relationship to supply nearly all future search revenue.

The advertising business depends on continued customer spending, access to media owners’ advertising space and data for targeting and measurement. Customers generally have no long-term or exclusive commitments and can reduce or cancel spending. Privacy rules restrict the data Perion can use, and it often relies on publishers, customers and data providers to obtain the necessary consent. The search business also depends on publisher traffic and the search partner’s pricing and distribution rules.

Perion’s results hinge on digital advertising demand and campaign execution, while its remaining search business increasingly depends on Yahoo after its Bing agreement ended.

  • PubMatic competes with Perion to help web and connected-TV publishers earn money from advertising, charging publishers a share of the value of ads sold through its platform. Its business with those publishers is the part to watch for competition facing Perion’s publisher monetization services.

  • Quantum X Labs’ Gix Media business competes with Perion to send user searches to search engines, which pay them a share of the resulting advertising revenue. Gix Media’s revenue from Yahoo is particularly relevant as Perion shifts its search business primarily to Yahoo from 2026.

  • Alphabet’s Google competes with Perion for advertisers’ spending and for business helping publishers earn money from search, web and video ads. Google’s advertising revenue from Search, YouTube and partner websites is the relevant comparison for Perion’s campaign and publisher services.

  • Meta Platforms competes with Perion for advertisers paying to generate leads or build brand awareness: Meta sells ad placements in its apps, while Perion runs campaigns across digital channels. Watch Meta’s Family of Apps advertising revenue, the business competing for those budgets.

  • Amazon’s advertising platform competes with Perion for advertisers’ budgets for retail media, automated ad buying and connected-TV campaigns.
