Company

Company overview

MicroAlgo’s business centers on helping internet advertising agencies match advertisements with consumers. It buys advertising placement opportunities from internet traffic wholesalers, then uses its software and algorithms to process advertising content and user data and adjust which ads are shown. Clients pay for delivered advertising, with payment tied to impressions or users completing an action specified in the contract. MicroAlgo pays the traffic wholesalers based on how many times ads are displayed.

Revenue comes primarily from these advertising-focused algorithm services, with customers in mainland China and Hong Kong. A small group of major customers supplies a substantial share of revenue, while traffic wholesalers provide the placement opportunities needed to deliver the ads. Its former chip sales and related services were discontinued after the disposal of subsidiaries.

Its China operations require Internet-industry permits and licenses. Privacy and data-security rules also restrict how it handles personal information, including requiring consent for collection and limiting collection to what is necessary to provide services.

WiMi charges advertisers and agencies by views for placing 3D objects in streaming videos; watch its decisions on MicroAlgo’s directors and major transactions.

  • Perion Network and MicroAlgo compete to help advertising agencies deliver campaigns and improve results: MicroAlgo matches ads with consumers, while Perion sells campaign execution technology. Watch Perion One and its Outmax AI agent, which allocate advertising budgets and adjust delivery across channels—the services behind that overlap.

  • LZ Technology and MicroAlgo both depend on Chinese advertisers’ spending, although LZ sells advertising on community screens while MicroAlgo optimizes internet ads for agencies. Watch LZ’s advertising and promotional revenue for another view of those budgets; MicroAlgo attributed part of its 2025 revenue decline to more conservative corporate marketing budgets.
