Grupo Financiero Galicia is a financial-services holding company whose main business is Banco Galicia. The bank takes deposits and lends to individuals and businesses in Argentina, helping customers finance purchases and operations and handle payments. Borrowers pay interest, while customers pay fees for services such as cards and accounts. Lending supplies most of the group’s interest income; government securities also contribute. Banco Galicia accounts for the largest part of the business.
Naranja X adds a substantial consumer-finance business aimed at low- to middle-income customers. Customers use its app and branches for cards, personal loans, payments and savings. It earns interest on lending as well as merchant fees and commissions. The group also operates insurance and investment businesses, including Galicia Seguros and Fondos Fima.
The business depends on depositors keeping their money with the bank, borrowers repaying, and lending income exceeding funding costs. Argentine rules limit interest rates and service charges. Cash reaches the holding company through subsidiary dividends and other intercompany transfers, primarily from Banco Galicia. The bank needs regulatory approval to distribute profits, and current distribution rules prevent it from paying dividends from its latest fiscal-year profits.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Banco Macro S.A. competes with Galicia’s bank for Argentine retail deposits, loans and everyday banking customers through extensive branch networks, making it a rival for Galicia’s main funding source and customer interest and fees. Watch Macro’s time deposits and retail banking fees for signs of competition for those customers.
Banco BBVA Argentina S.A. competes with Galicia’s bank nationwide for individuals’ and businesses’ deposits, lending and investment services. Its push to lend more to SMEs makes commercial-loan growth a concrete measure of competition for a customer group Galicia also serves.
Grupo Supervielle S.A. competes with Galicia for Argentine personal and small-business banking customers, while its IOL invertironline platform competes for individuals’ securities trading and investment business. Watch lending to payroll and pension customers: they accounted for 86% of Supervielle’s personal-loan originations at December 31, 2025, making them a concrete customer group to follow alongside Galicia’s rising loan delinquencies.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Grupo Galicia earns from lending and deposits at Banco Galicia and Naranja X, so changes in interest rates can alter what it earns on loans versus what it pays depositors.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can raise costs on deposits and other funding that reprices, while income on long-term fixed-rate loans may not rise as quickly, squeezing the subsidiaries’ lending margins.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can ease costs on deposits and other repricing funding, but if rates on new or repriced loans fall faster, the subsidiaries’ lending margins may narrow.
Grupo Supervielle S.A. earningsSUPV
Grupo Supervielle’s report will show how payroll and pension borrowers are repaying, a read-through on repayment pressure among Grupo Galicia’s personal-loan customers in Argentina.
Read Supervielle’s lending to payroll and pension customers alongside signs of late repayment, then compare that with Grupo Galicia’s loan growth and credit-loss provisions. Steady repayment would suggest this customer group can support lending without a sharp increase in provisions; worsening repayment would point to pressure that could raise Galicia’s bad-loan costs.
Grupo Financiero Galicia SA earningsThis company
Grupo Galicia’s report will show whether Banco Galicia and Naranja X earn enough from loans, cards and deposits to offset losses as some borrowers struggle to repay.
Read loan and fee income alongside provisions for expected credit losses. If income grows without a comparable rise in provisions, lending and customer transactions are covering the cost of missed repayments. If income weakens while provisions rise, credit losses are eroding Banco Galicia’s and Naranja X’s earnings and can weigh on what the Group receives from its subsidiaries.
