Aramark serves institutions and venue operators that outsource dining and day-to-day facilities work. At schools, hospitals, workplaces and sports venues, it hires and supervises food-service staff, buys ingredients, prepares meals and serves customers. It is the exclusive food and beverage provider at most locations it serves. Food services account for most revenue; cleaning, maintenance and other facilities work form a smaller business. The United States is its largest market.
Most revenue comes from contracts under which Aramark collects the location’s sales and pays its operating expenses, sometimes also making payments to the client. What it earns therefore depends on sales covering food, labor and other costs. Under another contract model, clients reimburse operating costs and pay management fees, sometimes with performance incentives or a share of profits.
The business depends on institutions continuing to outsource and renew contracts, and on clients supplying the employees, students, patients or eventgoers who use its services. Event-related sales depend on attendance that Aramark largely does not control. Contract terms can limit its ability to raise prices when costs rise. Sysco distributes a substantial share of its food and other supplies in the United States and Canada, although alternative sources are available. Operations must meet food-safety rules, and alcohol service requires licenses and compliance with laws prohibiting service to minors and visibly intoxicated patrons.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Aramark’s foodservice contract wins, site attendance and labor and food costs are key to its results; watch Compass Group and Sodexo, its major direct rivals missing from this list.
Aramark relies heavily on Sysco for deliveries: in fiscal 2025, Sysco distributed about 43% of its U.S. and Canadian food and non-food purchases by purchase dollars, while also selling to other businesses preparing meals away from home. Watch delivery disruptions, though Aramark says alternative sources would generally limit the operating impact to the short term.
ABM Industries, Inc. competes with Aramark for schools’ and commercial customers’ contracts to clean, maintain and manage their facilities. Its Education and Business & Industry contract wins are the news to watch for competition facing Aramark’s facilities business.
US Foods Holding Corp. delivers food and related products to Aramark locations and sells to healthcare and education customers in markets Aramark also serves. Watch distributor labor shortages or disputes: interruptions can force Aramark to arrange other deliveries and raise its costs in the short term.
Performance Food Group Company supplies Aramark locations, so delivery reliability matters to Aramark’s operations; it also earns revenue distributing food and related products to the broader away-from-home dining market. Its Foodservice business is the part to watch for demand in that market, rather than treating all its distribution revenue as an Aramark signal.
Civeo Corporation competes with Aramark for customers paying for catering, housekeeping and facilities services at remote workforce accommodation sites. Watch its integrated-services contracts in Australia and Canada, where it serves both its own lodges and customer-owned facilities.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s policy-rate decision matters to Aramark because higher rates can raise the cost of its variable-rate debt, leaving less profit and cash for its food and facilities services.

If it comes in above expectations
If the policy rate is above the estimate, interest costs on debt that reprices may rise, reducing Aramark’s profit and the cash it can put toward running its services.
If it comes in below expectations
If the policy rate is below the estimate, interest costs on debt that reprices may ease, leaving Aramark more profit and cash for its services.
Civeo Corporation earningsCVEO
Civeo Corporation’s report will show whether demand for bundled catering, housekeeping and facilities services at remote sites is intensifying competition for Aramark in those contracts.
Look for whether Civeo wins more integrated-services contracts at its own lodges and customer-owned sites in Australia and Canada. More contracts would show customers are placing more on-site work with bundled-service providers, making Aramark’s bids for remote locations more contested; fewer would point to less pressure in this niche.
Sysco Corporation earningsSYY
Sysco’s report will show whether operations are holding up at the distributor that handles about 43% of Aramark’s food and non-food purchases in the U.S. and Canada.
Watch for delivery interruptions or operating disruptions at Sysco. Steady deliveries help Aramark’s kitchens stock and serve as planned; more interruptions could force Aramark to find other sources, incur short-term extra costs and risk disruption at client locations.
Performance Food Group Company earningsPFGC
Performance Food Group Company’s report will show whether its Foodservice business sees firmer demand from restaurants and other away-from-home meal providers, a market Aramark also serves.
Focus on sales or volume in the Foodservice business, not all of the company’s distribution revenue as a measure of meal-provider demand. Strength there would indicate firmer demand from away-from-home meal providers and a steadier market for Aramark; weakness would flag possible softness, but would not by itself establish how Aramark’s clients are doing.
ARAMARK earningsThis company
Aramark’s report will show whether revenue from its contracted food and facilities services is growing fast enough to cover the labor, food and other costs of running client locations.
Read revenue growth alongside service costs as a share of revenue, and compare the U.S. and international businesses. Growing revenue with a falling cost share would show that new business and operating efficiency are outweighing labor and food costs; slower growth or a rising cost share would show that contract growth is not keeping up with those costs, squeezing the room left for profit.
ABM Industries, Inc. earningsABM
ABM Industries, Inc.’s report will show whether schools and businesses are awarding more cleaning, maintenance and facilities-management work to a competitor for Aramark’s facilities contracts.
Watch contract wins in ABM’s Education and Business & Industry businesses. More wins would show schools and commercial customers awarding more facilities work to ABM, intensifying competition for Aramark’s contracts with those customers; fewer wins would indicate less pressure in those areas.
