Company

Company overview

Versamet Royalties Corporation invests in rights to mining output rather than operating mines. Mine owners and operators receive capital; in return, Versamet receives payments tied to production or revenue, or metal deliveries under agreements known as streams. It sells the delivered metals to buyers. Its portfolio is weighted toward gold and silver, with smaller exposure to copper and other metals.

Metal sales bring in most of its revenue. Gold sales from Greenstone and royalty payments from Kiaka together account for most revenue, making these mines important to the business. Equinox Gold supplies the Greenstone gold, and Versamet makes a payment on each delivery before selling it. Those gold sales rely on a single buyer.

Income depends on commodity prices and third-party operators keeping mines producing and meeting their payment and delivery obligations. Versamet does not control mine development or production. Some interests cover projects still being developed or explored, which must reach production before they can generate mining income.

Watch WAF’s Kiaka mine: its royalty generated $8.1 million of Versamet’s revenue and $6.5 million of gross profit in 2025.

  • Equinox Gold supplies gold that Versamet resells under the Greenstone gold purchase agreement, generating $14.4 million of Versamet’s revenue in 2025. Watch Greenstone production and gold prices: Versamet received the same 4,200 ounces in 2024 and 2025, so higher gold prices drove the revenue increase.

  • Triple Flag competes with Versamet to fund mines in exchange for metal deliveries or payments tied to mine production and revenue—streams and royalties. Its bespoke financing deals for an underserved part of the mining sector are worth watching as competition for Versamet’s own tailored deals.

  • Royal Gold competes with Versamet to finance mines and buy rights to precious metals or mine-linked payments, rather than operate the mines. Watch the terms of its new financing and acquisitions: deal structure, price and access to capital determine competition for these stream and royalty interests.

  • Endeavour Silver delivers Kolpa copper to Versamet in return for upfront funding and ongoing payments, with Versamet earning $3.9 million from that copper in 2025. Watch Kolpa’s copper output and copper prices, not just Endeavour’s silver and gold sales: those drive this stream’s contribution to Versamet.

  • Skeena Resources’ progress developing Eskay Creek matters to Versamet’s future royalty cash flow because Versamet acquired an interest in the project. Watch development updates from Skeena, whose business is exploring and developing mineral properties rather than earning revenue from this mine’s production yet.

  • B2Gold owns approximately 33% of Versamet, linking the value of that investment to Versamet’s performance while both share exposure to gold prices. B2Gold mines gold and sells it at market prices to bullion dealers and refiners, making its realized gold prices a useful comparison for Versamet’s gold sales.
