Veralto’s largest business helps utilities and industrial customers measure, analyze and treat water. Customers buy instruments, treatment technologies and related supplies to manage water quality, run their operations and meet regulatory requirements. Its Hach business serves both community water systems and large utilities, as well as industrial customers.
The other business helps consumer-goods, pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturers identify products and control product and packaging quality. Videojet and Linx sell equipment that prints identifying codes on products, along with the consumables it uses. Veralto also sells packaging and color instruments and software that support design, quality checks and product traceability.
Equipment sales create an installed base that drives further purchases: customers regularly replace water-testing chemicals and printing cartridges and buy parts, maintenance and software. These ongoing sales account for most of Veralto’s revenue, so the business depends on customers continuing to use its systems. No single customer supplies a large share of sales. Export controls and sanctions restrict whom Veralto can sell to and can require licenses for certain products and technologies.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Veralto depends on spending on water quality and product traceability; Xylem and Brother Industries’ Domino Printing offer relevant water and coding comparisons missing from this list.
Badger Meter competes with Veralto’s Hach for water utilities’ spending on water-quality and water-management systems. Watch its Utility Water sales, which accounted for approximately 89% of net sales in 2025, for a read on this customer group.
Dover competes with Veralto’s Videojet to sell customers equipment that prints identifying codes on products and the consumables used with it. Its Imaging & Identification business is the comparison to watch for Videojet, whose printing systems serve major consumer brands.
Mueller Water Products and Veralto both serve municipalities investing in safe water: Mueller sells water-distribution and measurement equipment, while Veralto sells instruments and treatment technologies to maintain water quality. Demand for Mueller’s municipal water equipment offers a view of the infrastructure spending behind this shared customer base.
Itron and Veralto share exposure to water utilities’ spending on measurement and digital operations: Itron sells water meters, networks and analytics to utilities that also buy Veralto’s water-analysis instruments and software. Watch demand for Itron’s water offerings rather than its electricity and gas products when comparing it with Veralto.
Badger Meter, Inc. earningsBMI
Badger Meter’s report will show whether water utilities are spending on water systems, a demand signal for Veralto’s Hach business.
Watch Badger Meter’s Utility Water sales. Growth would suggest that utilities are still funding water systems, supporting the demand environment for Veralto’s Hach water-quality instruments and software; a decline would point to tighter budgets and a weaker demand backdrop. The companies sell different products, so Badger Meter’s sales are not Hach orders.
Dover Corporation earningsDOV
Dover’s report will show how customers are buying product-coding solutions, a market it shares with Veralto’s Videojet.
Watch sales in Dover’s Imaging & Identification business. Growth would show that customers are still buying product-coding and identification equipment and related products, supporting demand in the market where Videojet competes; a decline would point to a weaker shared market and more pressure for Videojet. Dover’s sales do not directly measure Videojet’s performance.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s interest-rate decision sets the benchmark cost of borrowing across the economy, which can change interest expense on Veralto’s $2.7 billion of debt that reprices or is refinanced and leave more or less cash for investment.

If it comes in above expectations
If rates rise more than expected, interest expense could increase on Veralto debt that reprices or is refinanced, leaving less cash for investment; the filing does not say how much debt is rate-sensitive.
If it comes in below expectations
If rates rise less than expected or fall, interest expense could be lower on Veralto debt that reprices or is refinanced, leaving more cash for investment; the filing does not say how much debt is rate-sensitive.
Veralto Corporation earningsThis company
Veralto’s report will show whether equipment, consumables and software sales in both Water Quality and Product Quality & Innovation are supporting growth.
Read recurring revenue alongside nonrecurring revenue: recurring includes consumables, services, spare parts and software licenses recognized over time, while nonrecurring mainly includes equipment and licenses recognized at a point in time. Faster growth in recurring revenue would show that the installed base is driving ongoing consumables and software sales; growth led by equipment while recurring revenue lags would show weaker follow-through after installation. Then check whether sales grew in both Water Quality and Product Quality & Innovation: gains in both alongside stronger recurring revenue point to broader support for growth; otherwise, the report shows which business is carrying it.
Mueller Water Products, Inc. earningsMWA
Mueller Water Products’ report will show how municipalities are spending on water infrastructure, a demand signal for Veralto’s municipal customers.
Watch demand for Mueller Water Products’ municipal water equipment. Growth would suggest that more municipal water projects are moving ahead, a supportive backdrop for Veralto’s sales of water-quality instruments and treatment technologies to municipalities; a decline would mean infrastructure spending is less supportive. Mueller sells distribution and measurement equipment, so its sales are not Veralto water-quality orders.
