Interface Inc sells modular carpet tiles under Interface and FLOR, luxury vinyl tile under Interface, and nora rubber flooring. Customers buy these products for construction and renovation projects, either directly from the company or through independent contractors, installers and distributors. Flooring materials generate almost all revenue; installation and project-management services support the product business.
Corporate offices are its largest individual market, but markets outside corporate offices collectively provide most sales, including education and healthcare. Demand depends on businesses and institutions investing in new buildings or renewing existing spaces, so their spending on construction and renovation matters to sales.
Interface makes its own carpet tiles and rubber flooring but cannot manufacture carpet fiber or luxury vinyl tile. It relies on a small group of synthetic-fiber suppliers and largely on one primary luxury vinyl tile supplier in South Korea. All its rubber flooring is made in Germany. This sourcing structure makes dependable supply important and exposes U.S. imports of vinyl tile and rubber flooring to tariffs.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Interface's results depend chiefly on commercial and institutional flooring investment—especially office refurbishment and healthcare and education demand—rather than the single-family housing cycle.
Mohawk competes with Interface for flooring choices and purchases by customers renovating or building commercial spaces. Watch Mohawk's commercial flooring business for clues to that shared demand, rather than treating its residential flooring sales as a direct guide to Interface.
HNI Corporation and Interface both benefit when offices and institutions spend on their interiors: HNI sells workplace furniture and architectural products, while Interface supplies flooring. HNI's Workplace Furnishings sales are the line to watch for this shared spending, not its residential fireplace business.
Housing Starts (Sep)
New-home construction readings track homebuilding activity, which can affect demand for Interface’s flooring sold into residential living and consumer residential markets, and therefore its flooring sales.
Expected1.31MLast release1.275M
If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 1.31M estimate, it is above the previous 1.275M. If the reading is above the estimate, stronger homebuilding may support demand for Interface’s flooring in residential living and consumer residential markets, helping sales.
If it comes in below expectations
If the reading is below the estimate, weaker homebuilding may reduce demand for Interface’s flooring in residential living and consumer residential markets, weighing on sales.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s decision on its policy interest rate matters to Interface because higher rates can raise the interest expense on its variable-rate credit-facility debt, leaving less cash for flooring production and investment.

If it comes in above expectations
If the policy rate is above the estimate, higher borrowing costs may increase interest paid on Interface’s variable-rate debt and leave less cash for operations and investment.
If it comes in below expectations
If the policy rate is below the estimate, lower borrowing costs may reduce interest paid on Interface’s variable-rate debt, leaving more cash for operations and investment.
Mohawk Industries, Inc. earningsMHK
Mohawk Industries’ commercial flooring sales will show whether renovation and construction customers are still buying flooring in the market where it competes with Interface.
Focus on Mohawk Industries’ commercial flooring sales, not its residential flooring business. Steady or rising commercial sales would suggest renovation and construction customers are still buying, leaving Interface room to compete for those orders. Weakness would point to softer demand in that shared market and a harder path for Interface to win sales.
HNI Corporation earningsHNI
HNI Corporation’s Workplace Furnishings sales will show whether offices and institutions are still spending on interior projects that may also need Interface flooring.
Focus on HNI Corporation’s Workplace Furnishings sales, not its residential fireplace business. Steady or rising sales would suggest offices and institutions are moving ahead with interior projects, some of which may need Interface flooring. Falling sales would point to tighter spending by shared customers and fewer project opportunities for Interface.

Interface’s report will show whether sales of its carpet tile, vinyl and rubber flooring can keep outpacing the costs of materials, shipping and tariffs.
Read sales volume alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after product costs. Rising volume with a stable or higher margin would show that customer demand and pricing are covering materials, shipping and tariffs. Weaker volume or a falling margin would point to softer renovation and construction demand, or costs Interface cannot pass on to buyers.
