Standex International Corporation makes components that equipment manufacturers build into their own products. Electronics supplies most of its revenue: customers buy parts that sense conditions, switch circuits, and convert or measure electrical power, including components for electricity grids. Standex sells these globally to equipment manufacturers, directly and through distributors and representatives. It designs and manufactures products to customer specifications; retaining that work depends on price, quality and delivery as well as engineering capability.
Its other industrial businesses serve different manufacturing needs. Mold Tech provides textures and finishes for molds used to make automotive and consumer products, while Custom Hoists supplies hydraulic cylinders for mobile equipment. Spincraft and McStarlite sell formed-metal components directly to aerospace, defense and energy companies or their suppliers, for use in aircraft, launch vehicles and other equipment.
Standex also makes specialty cold-storage and temperature-control equipment under brands including American BioTech Supply and Custom Biogenic Systems. Medical and laboratory distributors, healthcare facilities, universities and pharmaceutical and biotech companies buy this equipment to store vaccines, blood products and research samples.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Bel Fuse Inc competes for electronic-equipment business with power and magnetic products that overlap Standex’s custom transformers, inductors and power-conversion assemblies sold to equipment makers. Watch Bel’s Magnetic Solutions sales for a read on this part of Standex’s competition, rather than Bel’s broader connectivity business.
CTS Corporation competes with Standex to sell sensing components to industrial and transportation equipment makers and their suppliers. CTS’s sales to those customers offer a check on the markets that contributed to Standex’s fiscal 2025 organic Electronics sales decline.
KNOWLES CORPORATION shares Standex’s exposure to industrial, defense and energy-related equipment demand: Knowles sells customized capacitors and radio-frequency components, while Standex sells customized sensing and magnetic components. Watch Knowles’s PD business in those markets for context on the industrial recovery and grid and defense growth Standex expects in fiscal 2027.
Benchmark Electronics is paid by industrial and aerospace equipment makers to design and manufacture electronics and precision metal parts; their production programs also generate demand for Standex’s electronic and formed-metal components. Benchmark’s industrial and aerospace-and-defense sales are the lines to watch for activity in these overlapping markets.
Helios Technologies, Inc. shares Standex’s exposure to construction, material-handling and industrial equipment demand, selling hydraulic and electronic controls where Standex sells hydraulic cylinders and sensing components. Watch Helios’s sales into those equipment markets for a read on demand facing Standex’s component businesses.
RBC Bearings Incorporated and Standex depend on overlapping aircraft, defense and industrial production markets: RBC sells precision bearings and other mechanical components, while Standex supplies formed aerospace parts and industrial hydraulic systems. RBC’s Aerospace & Defense sales offer a window into demand from aircraft and weapons customers that also matters to Standex’s aerospace business.
CTS Corporation earningsCTS
CTS's report will show demand for sensing components among industrial and transportation equipment makers, a market where CTS competes with Standex's Electronics business.
Look at CTS sales to industrial and transportation equipment customers alongside Standex's Electronics sales. Strength in both points to improving demand in their shared markets. If CTS strengthens but Standex does not, product mix or competitive wins could explain the gap; CTS's growth alone does not show that Standex lost orders. Weakness at both would point more toward softer shared demand.
Bel Fuse Inc earningsBELFA
Bel Fuse's Magnetic Solutions sales will show how its business in power and magnetic components is faring against products that overlap with Standex's.
Focus on Bel Fuse's Magnetic Solutions sales and compare them with the related products in Standex's Electronics business. Strong Bel Fuse sales show demand in this market, but do not by themselves mean Standex is losing orders; growth at Standex too would fit a broader demand increase. Weak Bel Fuse sales could signal softer demand or reflect its own product and customer mix. The question is how much the reports point to shared demand versus competitive differences.
Benchmark Electronics earningsBHE
Benchmark Electronics' report will show whether production by industrial and aerospace-and-defense equipment makers is also generating demand for Standex components.
Read Benchmark Electronics' industrial and aerospace-and-defense sales alongside Standex's Electronics and Aerospace & Defense results. Stronger Benchmark sales in these markets point to more activity on equipment programs that may generate demand for Standex parts; weaker sales raise the possibility that program activity is slowing. The companies sell different products, so the figures cannot prove that Standex won or lost orders. The takeaway is what customer production activity may mean for Standex's businesses.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Standex’s Fed-rate-sensitive revolving debt means the policy rate, which guides borrowing costs across the economy, can change what it pays in interest and what it keeps as earnings.

If it comes in above expectations
If the policy rate is above expectations, Standex’s variable-rate debt may reprice at a higher cost, increasing interest expense and leaving less earnings after interest.
If it comes in below expectations
If the policy rate is below expectations, Standex’s variable-rate debt may reprice at a lower cost, reducing interest expense and leaving more earnings after interest.
Standex International Corporation earningsThis company
Standex's report will show whether sales growth in Electronics and its other segments is coming from existing businesses and supporting gross margin.
Read organic sales growth in Electronics and the other segments alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after the cost of products sold. Growth from existing businesses with a steady or wider margin suggests customer demand, pricing and productivity are supporting the business. Growth mostly from acquisitions, or a narrower margin, points to weaker momentum in existing businesses or pressure from costs and pricing. The conclusion is whether Standex is growing its existing business without giving up profitability.
Helios Technologies, Inc. earningsHLIO
Helios Technologies' report will show whether demand in construction, material-handling and industrial equipment markets is also supporting Standex's hydraulic cylinders and sensing components.
Look at Helios sales into construction, material-handling and industrial equipment markets alongside Standex's related hydraulic-cylinder and sensing businesses. Stronger Helios sales suggest equipment demand may be improving and could support demand for Standex parts; weaker sales flag a possible softer order environment for Standex too. The conclusion is whether conditions in those equipment markets are carrying through to Standex's related businesses.
