Company

Company overview

SharkNinja’s appliances help households clean, cook and prepare food and drinks. These uses account for most of its sales; beauty and home-environment appliances make up a smaller business. The company manages product design and quality assurance but outsources all manufacturing to suppliers, primarily in China.

Retailers buy its products to resell to consumers, while distributors and shoppers buying directly through its websites also pay the company. Retail partnerships carry a significant part of sales: Amazon, Costco and Walmart together account for nearly half, and the largest customer alone contributes almost a quarter. The United States is its main market.

The business depends on developing new products that consumers want, maintaining retailer access and getting reliable supplies at acceptable costs. Product-safety requirements also constrain what it can sell: regulators can require repairs, recalls or discontinuation, and missing required approvals can prevent sales.

SharkNinja’s results hinge on household-appliance demand and share gains against rivals missing from this list: Dyson in floorcare and beauty, and Breville and De’Longhi in kitchen appliances.

  • Newell Brands competes for households’ kitchen-appliance spending through Oster, Mr. Coffee and Crockpot, against SharkNinja’s Ninja food-preparation, beverage and cooking products. Watch those brands’ kitchen-appliance sales for clues to the competition facing Ninja.

  • Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. competes for consumers’ spending on home and personal-care appliances against SharkNinja’s Ninja kitchen products and Shark beauty appliances. Its Home and Personal Care business is the part to watch for product launches and competition on price, performance and retail relationships.

  • Helen Of Troy Ltd competes with SharkNinja for consumers buying hair-styling appliances, air purifiers and fans, selling through retailers and directly to consumers. Watch its purifier and fan business: those products helped drive SharkNinja’s Beauty and Home Environment sales growth in 2025.

  • Whirlpool competes with SharkNinja’s Ninja for households’ countertop food-preparation purchases through KitchenAid small appliances, including stand mixers, though its business is more exposed to major appliances. Its global small-appliance business is a closer comparison for Ninja than its refrigerator or laundry-appliance results.

  • Traeger, Inc. sells grills that burn hardwood pellets and competes with Ninja for consumers’ outdoor-cooking purchases, but outdoor grills are only one SharkNinja subcategory. Watch Traeger’s grill sales alongside Ninja’s outdoor grills, whose decline partly offset SharkNinja’s Cooking and Beverage sales growth in 2025.

  • YETI Holdings competes with SharkNinja for consumers’ cooler and outdoor-equipment purchases, but that overlap covers only a small part of SharkNinja’s portfolio. Watch YETI’s Coolers & Equipment sales rather than its larger drinkware business for the relevant competition.
