Company

Company overview

Solesence, Inc. helps beauty brands bring finished products to market, handling formulation, development, manufacturing and packaging rather than selling directly to consumers. Brand partners pay it for ready-made or customized products sold under their own brands. These finished products generate most of its revenue and use proprietary technologies including Active Stress Defense and Kleair.

A smaller business supplies ingredients such as specially treated zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for sunscreens and other personal-care products. Its main customer in this business is BASF, which manages the direct customer relationships and leads business development under a long-term exclusive arrangement.

Most revenue comes from two finished-product customers and BASF, making their continued orders important to the business. The BASF agreements do not guarantee purchases and can be terminated under specified conditions.

Solesence’s results hinge on concentrated brand-partner orders and manufacturing scale, with BASF accounting for 10% of 2025 revenue through its exclusive personal-care ingredient relationship.

  • Estée Lauder and Solesence both depend on demand for prestige beauty: Estée Lauder sells skin care, sun care and makeup to consumers, while Solesence makes predominantly prestige skin-health products for paying brand partners. Watch Estée Lauder’s skin-care and makeup sales for a read on demand in these shared markets.

  • Edgewell Personal Care Company shares Solesence’s exposure to sun-protection demand: Edgewell makes and markets sun-care products for consumers, while Solesence makes mineral-UV skin-care and sun-care products for paying brand partners. Watch Edgewell’s sun-care sales rather than its broader Sun and Skin Care segment, which also includes wipes and men’s grooming.

  • Kenvue offers a comparison for Solesence’s exposure to skin-care and sunscreen demand: Kenvue sells Neutrogena and Aveeno skin-care products to consumers, while Solesence earns revenue by making skin-care and sun-care products for other brands.
