Brera Holdings PLC has shifted its focus from owning football clubs to accumulating SOL, the Solana blockchain’s native cryptocurrency. It commits its own SOL to help secure the network—a process called staking—and receives rewards in SOL. Most staking income comes through a partner-operated validator, which checks network transactions; delegating holdings to other validators contributes less. The company intends to restake rewards but can sell them to fund operations.
Brera does not own or directly operate its main validator. It depends on a third-party operator, with hardware in Abu Dhabi, under an agreement with RockawayX Infra Ltd. Its earnings depend on the amount staked, validator performance and Solana’s reward rules; the value of its holdings depends heavily on SOL’s price and continued adoption.
The retained football business still supplies the larger share of reported revenue. Sponsors and advertisers pay for exposure, fans buy tickets, and other clubs pay player-transfer fees. Brera continues operating this portfolio while considering asset sales and does not plan significant additional investment. Each business has one customer contributing a substantial share of total company revenue.
Regulation can constrain the new strategy: staking could face additional requirements or prohibitions. If SOL is classified as a security, existing U.S. trading and custody channels could become unavailable, and Brera could face investment-company requirements that potentially force liquidation.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Brera Holdings PLC’s outlook hinges on SOL prices, staking yields and its third-party validator operator, while its shrinking football portfolio still brings in revenue.
Solana Company and Brera Holdings PLC both accumulate SOL and earn rewards for committing it to help validate network transactions, so SOL prices and staking yields affect both treasuries. Solana Company’s staking rewards offer a comparison for the network-driven income Brera earns through its partner-operated validator.
Brera Holdings PLC relies on BitGo Holdings, Inc.’s custody infrastructure to safeguard part of its SOL holdings, with BitGo Bank & Trust keeping the private keys needed to access and transfer them. BitGo charges clients custody and transaction fees and also earns staking-related revenue; news about the security of its custody services matters directly to Brera’s access to those assets.
Coinbase Global, Inc. and Brera Holdings PLC both face changes in crypto-market participation and regulation, but Coinbase collects fees from customers trading crypto while Brera holds SOL and earns staking rewards. Watch Coinbase’s consumer trading-fee revenue for changes in market activity, and regulatory news on SOL for risks to the price and liquidity of Brera’s holdings.

BitGo Holdings’ report will show how its custody business is operating, which matters to Brera Holdings PLC’s ability to safeguard and access the SOL held with BitGo.
Look for evidence about custody operations and any security incidents or service disruptions. Stable service without a major security problem would support confidence that Brera can safeguard and transfer the SOL it holds with BitGo; a breach or disruption would put Brera’s access to those assets at direct risk.
