Shengfeng Development helps manufacturers and trading companies move goods across mainland China. Customers include CATL Battery, Bright Dairy and Tesla, with no single customer supplying a large share of revenue. It assigns a dedicated truck to larger loads or combines different customers’ smaller shipments at sorting centers. Customers typically sign contracts covering a series of orders and pay for each shipment according to its weight, route and service requirements. Freight transportation generates nearly all revenue; warehouse storage and daily inventory management provide a smaller source of service fees.
The company operates sorting centers and its own fleet, but outside transportation providers carry most of the freight. Its service therefore depends heavily on those providers completing deliveries reliably, while revenue depends on customers’ shipment volumes and agreed prices.
The listed company is a Cayman Islands holding company. It controls Shengfeng Logistics and its subsidiaries through contracts rather than equity ownership, so access to the Chinese business and its economic benefits depends on those contracts remaining enforceable. Operations also require Chinese business licenses and must comply with road cargo-weight and vehicle-size limits.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Shengfeng’s results hinge on Chinese business freight demand and pricing competition, including from Sinotrans Logistics, Beijing Changjiu Logistics and Kerry Logistics (EAS), none of which appears in this list.
Haoxin and Shengfeng compete for Chinese businesses’ contracted truckload freight, though Haoxin specializes in temperature-controlled transport. Watch Haoxin’s temperature-controlled truckload revenue as a narrower view of that market: it accounted for approximately 98.4% of Haoxin’s total sales revenue in 2025.
Tesla sells and leases electric vehicles and pays Shengfeng for logistics services, linking Shengfeng to freight demand from the new-energy-vehicle sector that helped drive its transportation growth in 2024. Watch demand in Tesla’s electric-vehicle business, but keep its weight in perspective: no individual Shengfeng client exceeded 5% of total revenue in either fiscal 2024 or fiscal 2025.

Tesla’s report will show how electric-vehicle demand is changing, offering a read on freight demand from a sector that helped drive Shengfeng’s transportation growth in 2024.
Read Tesla’s vehicle deliveries alongside automotive revenue. If both hold up, electric-vehicle demand remains supportive, as does the freight backdrop for Shengfeng’s work in that sector; if both weaken, that support may be fading. Tesla was not an individual client accounting for more than 5% of Shengfeng’s revenue in either fiscal 2024 or 2025, so this is one industry signal, not a measure of Shengfeng’s total customer demand.
