Company

Company overview

Haoxin Holdings transports goods for logistics companies, supermarkets and manufacturers in China. Customers use its trucks to move cargo such as food, fruit, chemicals and electronics under specified temperature and humidity conditions. Temperature-controlled truckload transportation brings in nearly all revenue; short-distance urban delivery contributes a small remainder. Customers pay agreed transportation rates, determined mainly by mileage and adjusted for their service requirements.

The company uses its own fleet and brings in outside transport providers when it needs extra capacity. Continued orders and contract renewals matter because customer agreements are generally short term. Fuel is a substantial operating cost, and customer contracts do not always allow Haoxin to pass fuel-price increases through to its fees.

Haoxin is a Cayman Islands holding company operating through Chinese subsidiaries. Cash reaching the parent depends on subsidiary distributions, which are limited by China's distributable-profit rules, mandatory reserves and foreign-exchange controls.

Haoxin’s results hinge more on demand for temperature-controlled truckload transport in China, winning and keeping major customers, and fuel costs than on global parcel-delivery trends.

  • Shengfeng and Haoxin both depend on Chinese manufacturers and commercial customers paying to move freight, though Shengfeng offers a broader network of transport, storage and related services. Shengfeng’s freight business with manufacturers and trading companies is the part to watch for clues to the demand Haoxin faces in temperature-controlled truckload transport and urban delivery.
