Riskified Ltd. helps ecommerce merchants decide which orders to accept while taking on the cost of fraud on orders it guarantees. Its core product, Chargeback Guarantee, uses machine-learning models and data across its merchant network to approve or decline orders in real time. If an approved order leads to an eligible fraud-related chargeback—a reversal of the payment—Riskified reimburses the merchant for the lost sale, typically through a credit against future invoices.
Chargeback Guarantee supplies most revenue. Merchants pay a risk-adjusted share of the value of approved, guaranteed orders, so revenue depends on how much order volume they submit and how much Riskified approves. Large enterprise merchants supply the vast majority of billings, and a few major merchants account for a substantial share of revenue. Its network includes SHEIN, Macy’s and Lastminute.com.
The business depends on access to transaction data and accurate fraud decisions: fees must cover reimbursements on fraudulent orders that slip through. Privacy laws restrict how Riskified collects, uses and transfers personal data. Depending on regulatory and court interpretations, GDPR limits on automated decision-making could also constrain how it helps merchants accept or decline orders.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Riskified’s results hinge on approved online transaction volume, merchant retention and fraud-related chargeback losses, which these broader payments and retail companies reflect only partly.
Global Payments competes with Riskified’s Dispute Resolve by helping merchants handle disputed payments and chargebacks, while also charging merchants to process payments. Its transaction-priced Merchant Solutions revenue offers a broader read on merchant payment activity, rather than Riskified’s fraud-guarantee losses.
Paysafe and Riskified both earn fees tied to digital transactions: Paysafe handles online merchant and wallet payments, while Riskified charges merchants to approve transactions and guarantee them against eligible chargebacks. Watch Paysafe’s Merchant Solutions and Digital Wallets payment volumes for a broader view of payment activity, not a direct measure of Riskified’s approved transactions.
Amazon is both a supplier and a customer connection for Riskified: AWS hosts infrastructure its platform uses, and Amazon’s Ring business is a merchant on that platform. AWS outages can disrupt Riskified’s service to merchants, while Amazon’s sales to online shoppers offer a broader view of ecommerce demand.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
For Riskified, Fed decisions track the cost of borrowing and returns on interest-bearing balances, changing the interest income it earns on cash and investments.

Amazon's sales offer a broad read on online shopping, while AWS hosts Riskified's platform, so Amazon's report bears on both demand and service continuity.
Read Amazon's online sales and AWS service separately. Steady online sales would indicate shoppers are still buying online, a supportive backdrop for Riskified's merchants but not proof that Riskified reviews more orders; weaker sales would suggest broader ecommerce demand is softening. Stable AWS service would leave this infrastructure risk unconfirmed, while an outage would directly test Riskified's ability to keep its platform available to merchants.

Riskified charges merchants on approved, guaranteed orders and bears eligible fraud losses, so its report will show whether merchant growth is supporting gross profit.
Read revenue growth alongside gross margin and chargeback provisions. Growth with margin holding near 52% and chargeback provisions controlled would show the review-and-guarantee business is expanding without materially eating into gross profit. Slower growth with rising chargeback costs or margin pressure would show that added volume or riskier approved orders are not paying their way. The test is whether merchant growth converts into durable gross profit.
Retail Sales MoM (Oct)
Retail sales track how much consumers spend at retailers; for Riskified, stronger or weaker spending can change merchants’ online orders reviewed by its platform and the transaction volume tied to its fees.
If sales strengthen, US-based merchants may generate more online orders for Riskified to review, supporting fee-bearing approved volume; if sales weaken, fewer orders may reduce that volume and fee base.
