Perdoceo Education Corporation provides postsecondary education to students predominantly in the United States, with most studying entirely online. Colorado Technical University (CTU), which teaches career-oriented subjects such as business, technology and healthcare, contributes most of its revenue. It also operates the American InterContinental University System (AIUS) and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS). USAHS focuses on graduate health-sciences education that combines classroom, clinical and distance learning.
Students pay tuition and fees for these programs, but federal student aid under Title IV supplies most of the company's revenue and cash flow. Some students also use employer tuition assistance or military and veterans' education benefits. CTU and AIUS give employer-supported students grants that partially reduce tuition, so these students generate less revenue per person.
The business depends on enrolling and retaining students who can finance their studies. Its universities must maintain accreditation and federal aid eligibility, including meeting rules that limit reliance on federal funding. Losing eligibility would prevent an affected university from continuing as it currently operates. USAHS currently operates under a temporary provisional federal-aid agreement following its ownership change, with restrictions on changes to its programs and operations.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Strategic Education’s Capella and Strayer universities compete with Perdoceo for tuition-paying online degree students and employer-supported working adults. Watch their enrollment and Workforce Edge, which administers employers’ education benefits, for signs of competition for Perdoceo’s corporate student programs.
Phoenix Education Partners’ University of Phoenix competes with Perdoceo’s CTU and AIUS for working adults paying to earn predominantly online university degrees. Its degree-program revenue is the clearest line to watch: those programs generated approximately 97% of its net revenue in fiscal 2025.
American Public Education competes with Perdoceo for students paying for online business, technology and military-oriented degrees, as well as nursing education. Watch APUS tuition and grants: its lower-cost offering gives adult and military students an alternative to Perdoceo’s programs.
Covista’s Walden and Chamberlain universities compete with Perdoceo’s online and health-sciences institutions for students paying to earn degrees. Watch Chamberlain’s nursing enrollment for competition in a field Perdoceo also teaches; in fall 2025, it had the largest U.S. pre-licensure nursing program by total enrollment.
Grand Canyon Education shares Perdoceo’s exposure to demand for U.S. online university and healthcare programs, but serves university partners with enrollment and operating support rather than awarding degrees to students itself. Watch enrollment at its largest partner, Grand Canyon University, as a signal of demand in a market Perdoceo also serves.

Perdoceo Education’s report will show whether student enrollment and tuition revenue at CTU, AIUS and USAHS are translating into higher revenue and operating income.
Read enrollment and tuition revenue alongside operating income at CTU, AIUS and USAHS. If enrollment and revenue grow and operating income keeps pace, added tuition is covering the cost of serving students; if enrollment or revenue weakens, or operating income lags, demand or costs are constraining growth.

Strategic Education’s report will show whether Capella, Strayer and Workforce Edge are attracting the online adult and employer-supported students Perdoceo also seeks.
Look at enrollment at Capella and Strayer alongside activity in Workforce Edge, which administers employers’ education benefits. Growth in both would show these competitors drawing more of the students and employer demand Perdoceo seeks, increasing pressure on its recruiting; weakness would point to less pressure from this source.
