Maison Solutions serves Asian-American families and other shoppers seeking Asian foods in the Los Angeles area and the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona. Its Arizona stores operate under the Lee Lee International Supermarkets name. The assortment includes vegetables used in Asian cooking, meat, live seafood, seasonings and imported snacks.
Customers’ grocery purchases generate its revenue, with fresh and other perishable foods and longer-lasting groceries contributing broadly similar shares. Customers can shop in stores or order through Freshdeals24 and an applet within WeChat for delivery or pickup. The supermarkets also hold inventory and fulfill online orders.
The business depends on sourcing appealing products at prices that leave room for a retail margin and keeping fresh food available and in good condition. Maison places orders mainly through wholesale agents, and a few vendors supply a substantial share of inventory. Farm relationships and its refrigerated supply chain support specialty produce and live seafood. Food-safety, labeling and import requirements limit which products it can sell; enforcement can block imports or require recalls.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Maison’s results hinge on Asian-specialty grocery demand and sourcing costs, making 99 Ranch Market, H Mart and Weee! closer competitive comparisons than the broad grocery chains listed here.
Albertsons competes with Maison for households’ grocery spending through supermarkets, delivery and pickup, while Maison focuses on Asian specialty foods. Albertsons’ grocery delivery and pickup business is worth watching for competition with Maison’s app orders fulfilled from its stores.
Kroger’s Ralphs and Fry’s supermarkets compete with Maison’s California and Arizona stores for households’ purchases of fresh food and everyday groceries.
Sprouts Farmers Market competes with Maison for households’ purchases of produce, meat, seafood and packaged groceries, emphasizing natural and organic foods rather than Asian specialties. Its perishable-food sales offer a useful comparison: perishables accounted for 57% of Sprouts’ sales in 2025 and approximately 50% of Maison’s net revenue in fiscal 2025.
Grocery Outlet competes with Maison for California households’ grocery budgets, selling fresh foods, everyday staples and ethnic groceries. Watch its pricing on everyday staples: it combines competitively priced essentials with a changing selection of goods bought at discounts from suppliers.
Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. earningsSFM
Sprouts Farmers Market’s report will show whether households are still buying fresh foods, a part of the grocery basket that overlaps with Maison Solutions’ business.
See whether Sprouts’ fresh-food sales keep pace with its overall sales, and keep its mix in mind: perishables were 57% of Sprouts’ sales in 2025, while they were about 50% of Maison Solutions’ net revenue in fiscal 2025. The measures and product mixes are not identical. Resilient fresh-food sales alongside steady overall sales would support demand in a category the businesses share; weakness would flag pressure on Maison’s produce, meat and seafood, but would not settle demand for its Asian specialties.
Grocery Outlet Holding Corp. earningsGO
Grocery Outlet’s report will show whether its low-priced everyday groceries are drawing California shoppers, where it competes with Maison Solutions for grocery spending.
Read Grocery Outlet’s sales alongside gross profit. Steady sales with gross profit holding up would suggest shoppers still seek low prices on everyday groceries, leaving Maison to compete for the same California food budgets. Weaker sales could point to reduced household spending, while squeezed gross profit would show that competing on price is costing more. Company-wide results cannot prove what happened to any one product category.
Retail Sales MoM (Oct)
Retail sales track how much consumers spend at stores; stronger spending can support Maison Solutions’ supermarket sales as customers buy its fresh foods, groceries and daily necessities.
If consumer spending is stronger, Maison Solutions may see customers buy more of its fresh foods, groceries and daily necessities; if spending is weaker, they may buy less, affecting store revenue. The sales figure does not show what the company pays suppliers, so it does not by itself establish the effect on profit.
The Kroger Co. earningsKR
Kroger’s report will show whether shoppers are spending at its Ralphs and Fry’s supermarkets, which compete with Maison Solutions for everyday grocery sales in California and Arizona.
Read Kroger’s sales and gross profit together. Steady sales and gross profit would suggest households are still buying groceries at large chains, supporting the demand backdrop in regions Maison serves. Weaker sales, or falling gross profit despite steady sales, would flag pressure on household spending or stronger price competition among grocers. Kroger is much larger and has a broader business, so its results are a market signal, not a substitute for Maison’s own report.
Maison Solutions Inc. earningsThis company
Maison Solutions’ report will show whether its seven supermarkets keep enough gross profit and operating cash from selling fresh food and everyday groceries to support their stores.
Read sales alongside gross profit and operating cash flow. If sales grow while gross profit and cash flow hold up, customer purchases are turning into money the company can use to buy inventory, pay rent and run stores. Slower sales or weaker gross profit and cash flow would show that demand, pricing, perishable-food costs or store operations are squeezing that path.
Albertsons Companies, Inc. earningsACI
Albertsons Companies’ report will show whether grocery delivery and pickup are drawing orders, a channel where it competes with Maison Solutions’ app-based shopping.
Watch for changes in Albertsons’ delivery and pickup business alongside its overall sales. Growth in those services with steady overall sales would show that shoppers are choosing established grocers for convenience, raising competition for orders Maison takes through Freshdeals24 or its WeChat applet. Weakness in that channel would suggest less pressure there, but would not reveal whether Maison’s own app orders are rising or falling.
