Mastech Digital serves mainly large and medium-sized organizations that need technology professionals for projects and ongoing operations. IT staffing generates most of its revenue: the company supplies professionals on contract and charges clients agreed hourly rates. This staffing business serves clients in the United States. It sells services, not software or hardware.
The smaller data and analytics business operates under the Mastech InfoTrellis brand. Clients pay it to organize and integrate data, build analytics capabilities and improve customer experience. It delivers project consulting and managed services using teams working at client sites and offshore; some engagements provide dedicated teams that supplement clients’ own staff.
Revenue comes almost entirely from North American clients, with financial services accounting for most of it. A small group of clients supplies a large share, including Fidelity, Populus and CGI, so their hiring and project spending matter greatly. Delivery depends on recruiting and retaining skilled professionals and on recruiting and delivery centers in India. Many employees work under company-sponsored H-1B visas; limits on new visa approvals and immigration rules constrain its ability to recruit and deploy staff.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Mastech Digital depends chiefly on U.S. contract IT staffing demand and spending by a few large clients; watch Fidelity and Populus, which together accounted for 28.8% of its 2025 revenue.
CGI Inc. is both a major payer and a rival to Mastech Digital: its service purchases supplied 10.8% of Mastech’s 2025 revenue, while both compete for enterprise digital-transformation consulting. CGI helps clients build and run technology, making its spending on Mastech’s services the direct exposure to watch.
International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) competes with Mastech Digital for enterprise transformation work, but their technology-provider alliance also brings Mastech business opportunities. IBM helps clients modernize applications using cloud and AI; its consulting work overlaps with Mastech’s project-based data management and analytics services.
Hackett Group Inc (The). competes with Mastech Digital for enterprise projects in cloud applications, data management and analytics, earning fees for advice and application implementation. Watch its Oracle Solutions work in cloud applications, reporting and analytics for a view of demand overlapping Mastech’s data and cloud-application services.
Genpact competes with Mastech Digital for enterprise data-management and digital-transformation work, including financial-services clients. Watch Genpact’s revenue from banks, capital-markets firms and insurers: financial services accounted for approximately 54% of Mastech’s total revenue in 2025.
Information Services Group, Inc. and Mastech Digital compete for large enterprises’ spending on cloud, data analytics and digital transformation. ISG emphasizes advising clients on technology choices and sourcing services, whereas Mastech delivers data-management and analytics projects, so ISG’s work with large businesses offers a view of their shared customer budgets.
Aeries Technology, Inc. and Mastech Digital compete to provide middle-market enterprises with technology consulting and externally delivered technology capabilities. Aeries builds and manages dedicated teams that operate as extensions of clients’ organizations—global capability centers—rather than emphasizing Mastech’s project consulting and IT staffing model.
Information Services Group, Inc. earningsIII
Information Services Group reports on large companies’ demand for technology advice and sourcing, offering a read on whether they may also spend more on Mastech Digital’s data and transformation projects.
Check whether Information Services Group’s enterprise advisory and sourcing business strengthens, alongside what it says about client project demand. Growth would suggest larger companies have more room in technology budgets to fund Mastech Digital’s data and analytics work; weakness would point to tighter shared budgets, but advisory and sourcing are not the same as Mastech’s project delivery, so this does not establish a change in Mastech bookings.
Mastech Digital, Inc. earningsThis company
Mastech Digital earns service revenue from staffed technology roles and data projects, and this report will show whether client demand is stabilizing consultant counts and project bookings.
Read the IT Staffing billable-consultant count alongside its average hourly bill rate, then check Data and Analytics bookings. More consultants and higher bookings would show demand strengthening in both businesses; if rates rise while consultant counts keep falling and bookings stay weak, pricing is not making up for soft client project spending and revenue remains under pressure.
