Kinetik Holdings Inc. operates pipelines and processing plants that gather gas from producers, remove impurities and separate natural gas liquids for sale. Its operations center on the Delaware Basin in Texas and New Mexico. Commodity sales supply most revenue: Kinetik buys natural gas and natural gas liquids from producers for resale to third parties, and also sells condensate. Producers pay it for gathering and processing, crude-oil handling and disposal of water produced alongside oil and gas. Some contracts compensate Kinetik with a share of products or sale proceeds rather than only fees.
These activities make up Midstream Logistics, which supplies nearly all operating revenue. Pipeline Transportation is another important source of earnings. Alongside its own pipelines, Kinetik holds stakes in PHP and Breviloba, the owner of Shin Oak, and receives distributions from these investments. These pipelines connect Permian production with Gulf Coast and Mexico markets; partners operate the jointly owned pipelines.
The business depends on producers maintaining output and developing new wells as existing wells decline, and on third-party downstream pipelines remaining available. Its Texas water-disposal business uses injection wells and is subject to permitting and operating restrictions, including potential shutdowns related to seismic activity.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Targa Resources competes with Kinetik for producers’ gas-gathering, processing and natural gas liquids (NGL) transportation business, but also carries Kinetik’s NGLs to market through Grand Prix. Watch Grand Prix news for changes to this outlet for Kinetik’s processing output.
Western Midstream Partners, LP competes with Kinetik for Delaware Basin producers needing gas processing, crude gathering and collection and disposal of water brought up with oil and gas. Its Delaware Basin water recycling and disposal business is worth watching alongside Kinetik’s produced-water services.
Energy Transfer competes with Kinetik to handle producers’ gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs), but also buys NGLs from Kinetik under long-term agreements. Watch the lawsuits over two of those purchase agreements: Energy Transfer seeks damages and enforcement, and Kinetik says it cannot predict the outcome.
ONEOK competes with Kinetik to gather and process Permian producers’ gas and transport natural gas liquids (NGLs), while also providing outlets for Kinetik’s products. Its Roadrunner gas pipeline and West Texas NGL pipeline matter as routes carrying Kinetik’s processed gas and liquids onward.
Enterprise Products Partners competes with Kinetik to handle Permian producers’ gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs), but the two also share ownership of the Shin Oak NGL pipeline through Breviloba.
Kinder Morgan’s pipelines, including El Paso Natural Gas, carry producers’ gas out of the same Permian Basin that feeds Kinetik’s gathering and processing systems, tying both businesses to production and demand for gas transportation there.
Plains All American Pipeline competes with Kinetik to gather and store Permian producers’ crude, but its takeaway facilities also connect to Kinetik’s gathering system. Watch Plains’ crude transportation and storage business, where customers pay to move and hold oil.
Permian Resources Corporation sells oil, gas and natural gas liquids from the same Delaware Basin where Kinetik earns fees handling producers’ output. Watch its Delaware Basin production as a read on activity in Kinetik’s operating area, rather than evidence of a direct customer relationship.
NGL Energy Partners competes with Kinetik to collect and dispose of water brought up by Delaware Basin oil and gas producers. Watch its Water Solutions business, which charges customers per barrel received and has contracts that can dedicate acreage or require minimum water volumes.
Summit Midstream Corporation’s Double E pipeline offers producers a route for gas left after processing out of the Permian Basin, overlapping with Kinetik’s gas transportation business. Watch Double E’s transported volumes: Summit says oil-price-driven drilling decisions affect this business’s throughput and cash flow.
Kodiak Gas Services, Inc. operates equipment that raises gas pressure for production and gathering customers in the Permian Basin, supporting the activity that feeds Kinetik’s Delaware Basin processing systems. Watch demand for Kodiak’s large-horsepower compression services as a sign of the gas-handling needs of producers and gathering systems.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Kinetik’s Fed-rate exposure runs through its floating-rate term loan and revolving borrowings: higher rates can raise interest paid on debt that reprices and the cost of new borrowing, while lower rates can reduce them.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can increase interest paid on Kinetik’s floating-rate term loan and revolving borrowings as they reprice, leaving less cash after debt costs for its operations and planned capital spending.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can reduce interest paid on Kinetik’s floating-rate term loan and revolving borrowings as they reprice, leaving more cash after debt costs for its operations and planned capital spending.
Enterprise Products Partners L.P. earningsEPD
Enterprise Products Partners’ report can show how the Shin Oak NGL pipeline that it co-owns with Kinetik is performing, and what that shared asset may mean for Kinetik’s investment.
Watch for disclosed Shin Oak throughput and any earnings contribution or distributions tied to the shared asset. If both hold up, the pipeline is still supporting Kinetik’s investment; if they weaken, that investment may contribute less, separately from Kinetik’s own service revenue.
Energy Transfer LP earningsET
Energy Transfer’s report can show how its NGL buying is going and whether it discloses any new development in its disputed purchase agreements with Kinetik.
Separate any disclosed NGL purchasing activity from any update on the disputed agreements. Steady buying would support the view that Kinetik retains this sales outlet; weaker buying or an adverse dispute update would make that route less certain, but the report alone cannot settle the legal claims.
Western Midstream Partners, LP earningsWES
Western Midstream Partners, LP’s report can show how Delaware Basin gas-processing and produced-water activity is changing in services where it competes with Kinetik for customers.
Watch Western Midstream Partners, LP’s disclosed Delaware Basin gas-processing volumes and produced-water activity. Stronger activity would suggest producers still need these services in the area; weaker activity could signal softer demand, but company-specific asset or customer changes could also explain it and would not prove Kinetik lost customers.
Kinetik Holdings Inc. earningsThis company
Kinetik charges fees to gather, process and transport oil and gas and to handle produced water; this report will show whether those services still support its revenue and cash flow.
Read gas gathering and processing volumes alongside service revenue, then check whether operating cash flow holds up. Rising volumes and service revenue with steady cash flow would point to a stronger fee-based business; flat or falling volumes or service revenue would show that the core is not improving, even if product sales lift total revenue.
Permian Resources Corporation earningsPR
Permian Resources Corporation’s report can show how oil and gas production is changing in Kinetik’s Delaware Basin operating area, indicating how much output may be available for gathering and processing.
Compare Permian Resources Corporation’s disclosed Delaware Basin production with Kinetik’s gas gathering and processing volumes. Stable or rising production would mean the local supply base for midstream systems is holding up; falling production could put pressure on Kinetik’s service volumes, but does not establish a direct customer relationship.
Targa Resources Corp. earningsTRGP
Targa Resources’ report can show how Grand Prix is operating, a pipeline that carries Kinetik’s NGLs from processing toward market.
Watch Targa Resources’ disclosed Grand Prix volumes and any operating or expansion updates. Steady transport activity would support the view that Kinetik has a working route to move NGLs to market; weaker activity or a disruption would make that outlet less dependable even if Kinetik’s processing output holds up.
