Company

Company overview

Innovex International supplies equipment used to build wells, prepare them for production and maintain them once operating. Its products include downhole tools, surface wellheads and subsea equipment. It mainly sells directly to oil and gas exploration and production companies, while also supplying oilfield service companies. Product sales provide most of its revenue; customers also pay to rent tools and for services connected to deploying its products at well sites.

North America is its core market, but international and offshore operations also provide a substantial share of revenue. Its customers include Saudi Aramco, its largest reported end-user, alongside other oil producers and service companies.

Demand depends on producers’ drilling, development and production activity and the spending that supports it, which in turn respond to oil and natural gas prices. Innovex supplies products used in hydraulic fracturing but does not conduct fracturing itself. Its global sales and supply chain must comply with import and export controls and sanctions, which can restrict where and with whom it does business.

Innovex’s results hinge on producers’ drilling and development spending, so watch Saudi Aramco, its largest end-user in 2025, even though it is absent from this list.

  • Weatherford competes with Innovex for oil and gas operators’ spending on equipment used to build, complete, produce from and service wells. Its Well Construction and Completions and Production and Intervention results are the closest comparisons for Innovex’s downhole products.

  • Forum Energy Technologies and Innovex compete to sell engineered consumable products used by drilling, well-construction, completion and production customers. Watch Forum’s Drilling and Completions and Artificial Lift and Downhole businesses rather than its broader capital-equipment sales.

  • TechnipFMC competes with Innovex to supply oil and gas operators with subsea and surface equipment for developing and producing wells. Its Subsea results matter especially: Subsea Solutions supplied 24% of Innovex’s 2025 revenue.

  • Baker Hughes both competes with Innovex for operators’ well-construction, completion and pressure-system equipment spending and buys from Innovex as a top-ten account in 2025. Its Oilfield Services & Equipment business is the relevant part to watch for both competitive pressure and customer demand.

  • SLB competes with Innovex to supply oil and gas operators with well-construction and production systems, but also buys from Innovex as a top-ten account in 2025. Its Well Construction and Production Systems divisions are more relevant to that two-way relationship than its Digital business.

  • Halliburton competes with Innovex for oil and gas producers’ spending on completion products, well construction and intervention work. Its Completion and Production results provide a comparison for Innovex’s completion offerings, which supplied 22% of Innovex’s 2025 revenue.

  • NOV competes with Innovex to sell and rent drilling, completion and production tools and consumables to energy producers and service companies. Watch NOV’s shorter-cycle Energy Products and Services sales and rentals, rather than its large capital-equipment business.

  • Nine Energy Service competes with Innovex to sell oil and gas producers tools used downhole to prepare wells for production, along with services to deploy them. Its completion-tool sales in North America and abroad are the clearest comparison for Innovex’s completion products.

  • Cactus competes with Innovex to sell surface wellheads to oil and gas operators and provide related rentals and wellsite services. Watch its Pressure Control product sales, driven mainly by newly drilled wells, and rentals, driven mainly by completions.

  • Oil States International competes with Innovex to supply oil and gas operators with downhole products and completion equipment and services. Its Completion and Production Services revenue comes from crews setting up and operating wellsite equipment at daily rates, offering a view of the activity behind Innovex’s completion demand.

  • KLX Energy Services competes with Innovex for U.S. onshore oil and gas producers’ spending on drilling tools, rentals, completion and intervention work. Its drilling and completion business across U.S. basins is a useful comparison for Innovex’s U.S.–Land demand.

  • Drilling Tools International competes with Innovex to provide downhole drilling-enhancement tools and rentals for onshore and offshore wells. Its rental-focused drilling business is the closest comparison for Innovex’s Drilling Enhancement products, which supplied 12% of 2025 revenue.

  • OMS Energy Technologies and Innovex compete to supply surface wellhead systems to oil and gas producers, and both depend on activity in Saudi Arabia. OMS’s Saudi Arabian revenue is the line to watch for that shared exposure, though its operating-market reporting differs from Innovex’s sales-destination reporting.

  • Occidental pays Innovex for well products and related offerings and was one of its top-ten accounts in 2025, so its oil and gas field development matters to Innovex’s demand. Watch development activity in Occidental’s Permian, DJ and offshore operations rather than treating oil and gas sales volumes as equipment orders.

  • Petrobras buys well and subsea offerings from Innovex and was a top-ten account in 2025, tying Innovex to Brazilian offshore development. Watch Petrobras’s development work in the Santos and Campos basins, where its most significant proved reserves lie.

  • Woodside Energy buys well products and related offerings from Innovex and was one of its top-ten accounts in 2025. Its oil and gas production business in Australia and internationally is the relevant customer business to follow, rather than treating changes in LNG revenue as changes in Innovex orders.
