Intchains Group sells machines, mainly under the Goldshell brand, that customers use to mine cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin. It designs the specialized computing chips inside the machines but hires outside partners to fabricate the chips and assemble the equipment. Customers generally pay in advance. Complete machines now account for almost all revenue; the company no longer sells standalone chips.
Most revenue comes from a few customers. Demand and selling prices depend heavily on cryptocurrency prices and the returns customers expect from mining. Supply also depends on a small group of manufacturers, particularly its primary chip foundry, which offers no guaranteed capacity or long-term contract. Mining restrictions constrain where customers can use the machines; China prohibits investment in cryptocurrency mining.
Alongside hardware sales, Intchains holds Ether (ETH) as its main long-term asset reserve and deploys some holdings through FalconX and its own Goldshell Stake platform to seek income. Holding ETH alone produces no interest or dividends, and its value depends on ETH’s market price. Goldshell Stake also serves individual and institutional investors, with recurring revenue beyond hardware sales as a stated goal. All of the company’s ETH is held in Coinbase Exchange accounts, where Coinbase controls the private keys, making access to those assets dependent on that exchange.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Intchains’ results depend chiefly on altcoin mining profitability and demand for mining machines, with ETH prices and a small group of outsourced production partners adding exposure.
Nano Labs competes for the mining-hardware spending that drives Intchains’ product revenue, selling iPollo altcoin mining machines to miners against Intchains’ Goldshell machines sold to distributors and end-users. Watch iPollo pricing and mining performance: competitors’ prices and expected mining returns affect demand and selling prices for Intchains’ machines.
Coinbase Global and Intchains both depend on crypto-market activity, but earn money differently: Coinbase charges consumers fees to trade cryptocurrencies, while Intchains sells mining machines whose demand depends on mining returns and holds ETH as a long-term reserve. Coinbase’s consumer trading-fee revenue offers a window into crypto participation, while ETH prices directly affect Intchains’ financial results through its holdings.

Coinbase’s report will show whether consumer trading-fee revenue is rising or falling, offering Intchains a read on crypto participation, though the two companies earn money differently.
Look at Coinbase’s consumer transaction-fee revenue. Stronger revenue signals more trading activity and a firmer backdrop for crypto participation that can matter to mining-machine demand; weaker revenue signals cooler participation and a potentially softer backdrop. Fee revenue is not machine sales, and Coinbase’s report does not establish the ETH price, which directly affects Intchains’ ETH holdings. The takeaway is that Coinbase offers a participation signal, not a substitute for Intchains’ sales figures or the ETH price.

Intchains’ report will show whether mining-machine sales and gross margin can support a business still driven by hardware, and whether its new staking service is beginning to contribute revenue.
Read mining-machine revenue alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after product costs. Rising revenue with a recovering margin would show that demand and selling prices are helping cover cost pressure; falling revenue or margin would show that weak demand, price cuts or inventory costs still weigh on the hardware business. Check whether staking-service revenue appears, but do not treat an early contribution as a replacement for mining machines. Together, these outcomes show whether Intchains’ earnings base is recovering or remains tied to the mining cycle.
