The Honest Company supplies wipes, diapers, personal care and beauty products for babies through adults under the Honest brand. It positions its products around clean formulations and sustainable design, with ingredients reviewed by toxicologists. It owns no factories and contracts with outside manufacturers to make its products.
Retailers and ecommerce customers buy the finished goods from Honest and resell them to consumers in stores and online. These channels bring in most of its revenue, with Amazon and Target together accounting for the majority; Walmart is another major customer. Honest.com no longer takes orders and instead showcases products and directs shoppers to other sellers.
The business depends on these retailers continuing to order products and provide shelf space, and on consumers making repeat purchases at premium prices. Reduced distribution at major retailers has already affected diaper sales. Honest also depends on a limited number of manufacturers for supply and costs. Its ingredient and environmental claims must comply with advertising and labeling rules, which constrain how it can promote its products.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Honest's results hinge on retail distribution through Amazon and Target—the latter absent from this list—and on wipes competition from WaterWipes, DUDE Wipes and ZURU Edge.
Kimberly-Clark competes with Honest for diaper and personal-care shoppers, exposing both to baby-care demand and retailers' decisions about which products to carry. Watch its baby-care business and retail assortment news: Honest has already lost distribution for some diapers following retailers' category changes.
P&G sells diapers through stores and online in direct competition with Honest, making its baby-care pricing and promotions worth watching. Promotional conditions are one factor affecting Honest's gross margin.
Edgewell Personal Care Company competes with Honest for personal-care shoppers and retail shelf space through Wet Ones wipes and skin-care products. Wet Ones news is particularly relevant as Honest prioritizes wipes and personal care for their attractive margins.
Unilever competes with Honest for skin-care and personal-care shoppers, and these categories form substantial parts of its business. Its Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care results are more relevant to that rivalry than its food or home-care sales.
e.l.f. Beauty competes with Honest's adult facial-care and beauty products by selling clean-positioned skin care and cosmetics through mass retailers and online. Watch its lower-priced e.l.f. SKIN launches against Honest's adult facial-care revenue, which fell $5.7 million in 2025.
Clorox competes with Honest for skin-care and personal-care shoppers through Burt's Bees, but cleaning products dominate its sales. Burt's Bees news is more relevant to Honest than Clorox's overall sales, of which cleaning products accounted for 44% in fiscal 2026.

P&G's report and any detail it gives on promotions will show how much diaper price competition is pressuring Honest.
Look at P&G's baby-care results and any detail it provides on diaper pricing or promotions. Heavier promotions would signal that winning diaper shoppers may require lower prices, putting more pressure on Honest's diaper margins; easing promotions with steady demand would leave Honest more room to protect price and profit.
e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. earningsELF
e.l.f. Beauty's report will show whether its lower-priced skin care and cosmetics are competing more strongly for shoppers in Honest's adult facial-care and beauty business.
Watch results for skin care such as e.l.f. SKIN and whether lower-priced products continue to attract shoppers. Strong results would show that adult skin-care and beauty customers are still turning to lower-priced rivals, making it harder for Honest to rebuild adult facial-care sales; weaker results would suggest less competitive momentum, but would not prove Honest is winning those shoppers back.

Honest's report will show whether wipes and baby personal care can offset pressure on diapers, and whether product costs keep squeezing its profit.
Read sales of wipes, baby personal care and diapers alongside gross margin—the share of revenue left after product costs. If the first two keep growing enough to offset diapers and gross margin holds or improves, Honest's core retail products are absorbing cost pressure. If sales weaken and gross margin falls, tariffs, higher supplier costs and lost diaper distribution are outweighing demand.
Kimberly-Clark Corp. earningsKMB
Kimberly-Clark's baby-care results and any news on retail assortments will show how diaper demand and shelf choices affect Honest.
Read Kimberly-Clark's baby-care results alongside any news about retailers changing diaper assortments. Steady results and stable shelf choices would suggest the category and retail space are holding up; weaker results or further assortment cuts would make it harder for Honest to regain lost diaper distribution.
Edgewell Personal Care Company earningsEPC
Edgewell's Wet Ones results will show how strongly it is competing with Honest for wipes shoppers and retail shelf space.
Watch Wet Ones results and what Edgewell says about retail shelf space and demand for personal-care products. Strong Wet Ones results would signal a rival with momentum on wipes shelves, making it harder for Honest to sustain wipes growth and protect profit; weaker results would suggest less competitive pressure, but would not alone show that Honest is gaining ground.
