Adults seeking entrepreneurship and property-investment training provide most of Genius Group Limited’s revenue, mainly through in-person learning. Property Investors Network (PIN) sells courses, events and memberships through local investor communities in England. GeniusU offers free entry to online learning, with some users moving on to paid courses, certifications and memberships. Partners supply and teach courses, help bring in students and share course revenue; they also pay the company for licenses, training and platform use.
The company also receives tuition and early-learning fees through Education Angels in New Zealand and Pro Education in Bali. Education Angels serves families needing home-based childcare and early education. New Zealand’s government funds part of its educator fees, and operating approval is required to provide the service and receive that funding. A separate hospitality business earns from guests paying for accommodation, meals and activities at locations including Tau Game Lodge and Genius Café.
Education revenue depends on attracting paying students and keeping them enrolled or returning for further learning. Most GeniusU users use free offerings, so converting them to paid learning matters. Qualified teachers, relevant courses and a reliable platform support that process.
Genius Group also holds bitcoin and borrows against it. Bitcoin pays no interest; investment returns depend on price appreciation, while falling prices can require additional collateral or loan repayment. A court order prohibits further bitcoin purchases and capital-market fundraising. Management has identified substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue operating without additional capital.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Genius Group’s results hinge on paid education enrollment and hospitality demand, while bitcoin prices also affect its digital assets and loan exposure.
Coursera competes with Genius Group’s GeniusU for adult learners paying for online courses, memberships and credentials on global platforms. Coursera’s paid Coursera Plus subscriptions offer a window into demand for online learning that GeniusU seeks to turn into paid upgrades.
Coinbase and Genius Group are both exposed to bitcoin prices, but through different channels: Coinbase charges customers fees to trade crypto, while Genius Group carries bitcoin-linked assets and loan exposure. Coinbase’s consumer trading-fee revenue offers a read on crypto-market activity; for Genius Group, a sharp bitcoin decline could also trigger loan repayment.

Coursera’s report will show whether adults are still paying for online learning, giving GeniusU a market read on demand for its paid courses.
Read changes in paid Coursera Plus subscriptions alongside GeniusU’s earlier decline in online-course revenue. Subscription growth would suggest people are still paying for online learning, making GeniusU’s own courses or its ability to convert free users to paid customers a more likely source of weakness. A decline would point to broader demand pressure too. Coursera cannot prove how GeniusU performed, but its results help distinguish an industry headwind from a more company-specific one.
