Company

Company overview

Datavault AI Inc. supplies businesses with platforms for assessing data’s value and turning it into digital tokens that can be monetized. Customers pay for technology licenses and software subscriptions. Its Data Vault and IDE platforms are designed to do this without moving, storing or altering clients’ original datasets.

The company also supplies WiSA wireless audio technology to consumer-electronics and speaker companies. These customers buy modules to install in their products or license its software; outside manufacturers produce the modules. Sagemcom’s Video Soundbox uses WiSA E, giving the technology a commercial route into set-top boxes. This business depends on customers launching products and consumers adopting them.

Most revenue comes from Vivasor and Scilex Holding Company, with Vivasor the largest customer. Customer agreements generally require no minimum purchases. Datavault also relies on IBM hardware and software for its digital-asset expansion. Data-protection rules constrain how it handles personal information, while uncertainty over whether digital assets count as securities could restrict or require it to stop some digital-asset activities.

Watch Vivasor, absent from this list: it supplied 51% of Datavault AI’s 2025 net revenue, leaving results heavily dependent on its spending.

  • Datavault AI depends on Scilex Holding Company as both a major buyer and a source of capital: the non-opioid pain-drug company accounted for 26% of Datavault’s 2025 net revenue and invested $150 million in bitcoin that November. Watch Scilex’s purchases of Datavault’s offerings and its financial backing, rather than treating its drug sales as the same business.

  • Datavault AI relies on IBM’s AI software, paying for subscriptions and bundling the software with its own technology for customers. IBM’s watsonx.ai supports Datavault’s expansion into cyber-secure digital assets and digital twins, while the subscription agreement leaves Datavault with multiyear payment commitments.

  • Datavault AI and Dolby Laboratories both depend on device makers adopting licensed audio technology, and they collaborate to make Datavault’s WiSA wireless audio work on Android- and Linux-based streaming platforms. Dolby earns most of its revenue by licensing audio and video technology to device manufacturers; its television and set-top-box licensing business is the line to watch for their shared market.

  • Datavault AI and Coinbase Global share exposure to crypto prices, market participation and digital-asset regulation, but earn money differently: Datavault holds digital assets and develops services that turn customer data into tradable digital tokens, while Coinbase charges crypto traders fees and supplies tools for crypto applications. Watch Coinbase’s consumer trading-fee revenue for a read on crypto participation, not as a direct measure of demand for Datavault’s services.
