Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. serves individuals and businesses in Virginia and central North Carolina through Blue Ridge Bank, National Association. Customer deposits provide its main funding, and borrowers’ interest payments provide most of its revenue. It earns from the difference between interest received on loans and investments and interest paid for funding, with additional fees from banking services and wealth and trust management through BRB Financial Group, Inc.
Most loans are secured by real estate in its market area, making local borrowers’ repayment ability and property values important to the business. Earnings also depend on keeping funding costs below the returns on loans and investments. The parent company receives its principal income from bank dividends, which banking regulations and capital requirements can restrict.
The company has pulled back from several businesses. It sold its residential mortgage origination and sales division, Monarch Mortgage, in March 2025 and has exited deposit services delivered through financial-technology partners. At the end of 2025, Upgrade, Inc. was its only named remaining indirect lending provider: Upgrade sourced loans that the bank originated and generally sold shortly afterward to the partner or another buyer. The company planned to complete its exit from indirect fintech lending in 2026.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.

United Bankshares Inc earningsUBSI
United Bankshares’ report will show how loan demand and deposit pricing are changing as it competes for household deposits and business and real-estate loans in Virginia and North Carolina, where its customers overlap with Blue Ridge’s.
Compare United Bankshares’ loan growth with its deposit costs. Steady loan demand without a marked rise in deposit costs would suggest banks in the same region can lend without paying more for funding. Weaker loan demand alongside higher deposit costs would point to softer borrowing demand for Blue Ridge and more expensive competition for deposits, putting its lending margins under pressure.
Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. earningsThis company
Blue Ridge earns mainly from lending, and this report will show whether loan and investment returns are covering deposit and other funding costs well enough to support interest income.
Read net interest income alongside deposit costs and the share of deposits that are brokered. Stronger net interest income with stable or lower deposit costs and a falling brokered-deposit share would show loan and investment returns outpacing funding costs as reliance on higher-cost funding eases. Weaker net interest income or a rising brokered-deposit share would show funding pressure still squeezing the bank’s ability to earn from lending and deposits.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Blue Ridge Bank earns mainly from lending, so Fed rate decisions matter because they can change what the Bank earns on loans and investments relative to what it pays depositors and lenders.

If it comes in above expectations
If rates rise more than expected, the Bank may pay more for deposits and borrowings before loan and investment yields catch up, squeezing earnings; if asset yields reprice faster, the added income may instead support earnings.
If it comes in below expectations
If rates fall more than expected, yields on the Bank’s loans and investments may drop before its deposit and borrowing costs, reducing earnings; if funding costs fall faster, the savings may instead support earnings.
