DMC Global operates three manufacturing businesses, with most revenue coming from DynaEnergetics and Arcadia Products. DynaEnergetics sells oilfield service companies perforating systems—explosive equipment used during oil and gas well completion—and related hardware. Demand depends heavily on oil and gas producers’ exploration and production spending. One unnamed DynaEnergetics customer supplies a substantial share of DMC Global’s total revenue, giving that customer considerable pricing leverage.
Majority-owned Arcadia Products supplies aluminum building systems and custom windows and doors, mainly for construction markets in the western and southwestern United States. Commercial exteriors sold under the Arcadia brand generate most of this business’s revenue; Wilson Partitions serves commercial interiors, and Arcadia Custom serves high-end homes. Sales depend on construction activity, while competitive bidding limits how fully Arcadia can pass higher aluminum and other input costs on to customers.
The smaller NobelClad business uses explosions to bond metals into custom plates and joints for corrosion-resistant industrial equipment and other applications. Metal fabricators typically place orders and pay invoices; NobelClad then buys materials and manufactures to each contract’s specifications. Most demand comes from maintenance and upgrades at existing facilities, alongside new industrial projects. Revenue depends on the timing of a relatively small number of projects and customers.
DynaEnergetics and NobelClad must maintain permits to handle explosives and comply with safety and environmental requirements. NobelClad also needs welding sites that meet location, geology, noise and vibration conditions, making permitted site access a condition of production.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
OIL STATES INTERNATIONAL, INC. competes directly with DMC's DynaEnergetics for oilfield service companies' spending on perforating systems and charges through its Downhole Technologies business.
Core Laboratories Inc. competes with DMC's DynaEnergetics by selling perforating and completion products to oil and gas customers through Production Enhancement. Watch that business's product sales rather than total revenue, which also includes reservoir-analysis services.
Nine Energy Service, Inc. shares DMC's exposure to North American horizontal-well completions: Nine prepares multistage wells for oil and gas producers, while DynaEnergetics sells perforating systems to service companies. Nine's North American completion activity is the closer demand signal; its tool sales also include international business.
ProPetro Holding Corp. serves the same multistage well completions that create demand for DMC's DynaEnergetics perforating systems, providing fracturing and wireline services to oil and gas producers mainly in the Permian Basin. Watch its fracturing and wireline activity for changes in completion demand, rather than its power-generation business.
Innovex International, Inc. and DMC's DynaEnergetics both depend on operators' well-development programs for demand for their downhole products; Innovex sells mainly to producers, while DynaEnergetics sells mainly to oilfield service companies. Innovex's North American product demand is a useful comparison for DMC's core onshore market, distinct from Innovex's international and offshore business.
Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. and DMC's DynaEnergetics both sell equipment and consumables to oilfield service companies whose purchases depend on well-completion activity. Forum's Drilling and Completions business offers a closer read on that spending than its company-wide sales, which also serve other markets.
KLX Energy Services Holdings, Inc. provides completion and intervention services to producers in U.S. shale basins where DMC's DynaEnergetics sells perforating systems, tying both to onshore well activity. Watch KLX's completion work across its regions for signs of demand in the North American onshore market where DynaEnergetics flagged possible weakness in 2026.
Ranger Energy Services, Inc. supplies wireline and completion support to U.S. onshore producers whose well-completion programs also drive demand for DMC's DynaEnergetics perforating systems. Ranger's completion-support activity is the relevant signal, rather than maintenance work on existing wells.
DMC Global Inc. earningsThis company
DynaEnergetics is DMC Global's largest business, and this report will show whether perforating-system sales and segment operating income are recovering together.
Read DynaEnergetics' sales alongside its segment operating income. If both rise, demand, pricing or factory utilization is improving enough to lift profit. If sales fall, or income fails to keep pace with sales, competitive pricing pressure or underused capacity is still weighing on the business.
ProPetro Holding Corp. earningsPUMP
ProPetro's report will show whether fracturing and wireline work tied to multistage well completions is holding up, a demand signal for DynaEnergetics' perforating systems.
Watch ProPetro's fracturing and wireline activity, not its power-generation business. Steady or rising activity would show that producers are continuing completion work, supporting demand for DynaEnergetics' perforating systems; falling activity would signal weaker completion work and a softer source of demand for DynaEnergetics.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
DMC Global’s Arcadia Products sells aluminum building systems, windows and doors, so interest rates matter because they change construction customers’ borrowing costs and project demand, as well as Arcadia’s ability to pass through material and labor costs.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can raise borrowing costs for Arcadia’s construction customers and weaken project demand, while making it harder for Arcadia to pass through higher material and labor costs.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can ease borrowing costs for Arcadia’s construction customers and support project demand, while giving Arcadia more room to pass through material and labor costs.
OIL STATES INTERNATIONAL, INC. earningsOIS
Oil States' report will show how sales in its Downhole Technologies business are changing in the perforating-systems market where DynaEnergetics competes for oilfield service companies' spending.
Compare Oil States' Downhole Technologies sales with DynaEnergetics' sales. If the former rises while the latter weakens, competition is putting pressure on DynaEnergetics' sales; if both rise or fall together, shared changes in oilfield spending are a more likely explanation than a clear shift in who wins the business.
Housing Starts (Oct)
Arcadia Products’ high-end residential windows and doors, about 10% of its sales, depend on new-home building: starts, permits and sales indicate whether builders may place more or fewer orders for these products.
Stronger starts, permits or sales suggest builders may place more orders for Arcadia Custom windows and doors; weaker readings suggest fewer potential orders in this longer-cycle business.
