Most of AYTU BioPharma, Inc.’s revenue comes from Adzenys and Cotempla, prescription medicines for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It also sells the antidepressant EXXUA and Karbinal, an allergy medicine in its pediatric portfolio. Wholesalers, distributors and pharmacies buy its products, with a small group of customers accounting for most sales. Demand depends on clinicians prescribing the medicines and private insurers or government payors providing reimbursement.
The company has shifted its sales efforts toward EXXUA, which is FDA-approved for major depressive disorder in adults. It launched the medicine under exclusive U.S. commercialization rights from Fabre-Kramer, although ADHD medicines still generate most revenue. Its sales force no longer promotes the ADHD or pediatric portfolios. AYTU buys EXXUA through Fabre-Kramer and pays sales-based royalties under their agreement.
AYTU relies on outside manufacturers rather than making the medicines itself, and obtains essentially all its ADHD products from one U.S. contract manufacturer. Adzenys and Cotempla are tightly controlled Schedule II drugs: production quotas can limit supply, and prescriptions cannot be refilled. The business therefore depends on reliable third-party supply and compliance with controlled-drug rules, as well as prescribing and reimbursement.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
AYTU’s growth hinges on its exclusive EXXUA commercialization agreement with Fabre-Kramer, which also provides access to manufacturing supply, while generic competition threatens its ADHD revenue.
Teva’s generic versions of AYTU’s ADHD medicines threaten its largest revenue portfolio by offering lower-priced alternatives. Teva’s subsidiary launched generic Adzenys in December 2025, and Teva gained the right to market generic Cotempla on July 1, 2026; watch how much business these take from AYTU’s branded treatments.
Axsome Therapeutics, Inc sells AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in the United States, competing with EXXUA, the centerpiece of AYTU’s commercial efforts. Watch AUVELITY’s sales and insurance coverage for a read on the competition EXXUA faces for patients.
Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc. competes with AYTU’s ADHD medicines Adzenys and Cotempla through Jornay PM, a methylphenidate treatment taken in the evening. Collegium mainly sells to wholesalers; watch Jornay PM’s sales and access to insurance coverage to gauge competition for AYTU’s once-daily tablets that dissolve in the mouth.
Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. sells Qelbree for ADHD, competing for patients with AYTU’s Adzenys and Cotempla. Qelbree’s sales, rather than Supernus’s broader neurological-drug revenue, are the line to watch for competitive pressure on AYTU’s ADHD business.
Axsome Therapeutics, Inc earningsAXSM
Axsome Therapeutics’ report will show how AUVELITY sales and insurance coverage shape the competition EXXUA faces for patients and reimbursement.
Look at AUVELITY sales and insurance coverage. Rising sales with broad coverage would show the depression treatment is better placed to attract patients and may add pressure on EXXUA prescriptions and reimbursement; weak sales or limited coverage would point to less pressure through this route.
Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. earningsSUPN
Supernus Pharmaceuticals’ report will show Qelbree sales, a read on the competition for patients taking AYTU BioPharma’s Adzenys and Cotempla.
Watch Qelbree sales, not Supernus’s broader neurological-drug revenue. Stronger Qelbree sales would show momentum in attracting people with ADHD and could intensify competition for Adzenys and Cotempla; weaker sales would point to less pressure through this route.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited earningsTEVA
Teva’s report will show how its Adzenys and Cotempla generics are selling, a read on lower-priced competition for AYTU BioPharma’s largest revenue portfolio.
Watch whether Teva’s generic sales strengthen, alongside AYTU BioPharma’s own Adzenys and Cotempla revenue. Stronger generic sales would suggest lower-priced alternatives are better positioned to take business from the branded products; weaker sales would mean less evidence of that pressure, but Teva’s figures alone cannot establish AYTU’s revenue loss.
Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc. earningsCOLL
Collegium Pharmaceutical’s report will show Jornay PM sales and insurance coverage, a read on competition for AYTU BioPharma’s Adzenys and Cotempla.
Read Jornay PM sales and insurance coverage alongside changes in AYTU BioPharma’s ADHD-product revenue. Rising sales with broader coverage would show the evening-dose treatment is better placed to win patients and prescriptions, potentially adding pressure on Adzenys and Cotempla; weak sales or limited coverage would point to less pressure through this route.

AYTU BioPharma’s report will show whether EXXUA sales can make up for declines in its ADHD and Pediatric portfolios.
Read EXXUA revenue alongside revenue from the ADHD and Pediatric portfolios. EXXUA growth with those portfolios holding steadier would show the launch is adding sales; if their declines outweigh EXXUA’s contribution, the shift in focus has not yet stabilized the business.
