DENTSPLY SIRONA supplies dentists and dental laboratories with tools and materials for treating teeth, making restorations and replacing or straightening teeth. Dental products account for most revenue, with consumables for root-canal treatment, restoration and preventive care forming its largest business. It also sells equipment, implants and orthodontic products. CEREC helps dentists make ceramic restorations during a single visit, while the DS Core cloud platform connects digital workflows across its equipment and services.
Most dental products reach users through third-party distributors, although the company sells some products directly to dental professionals and laboratories. A limited group of distributors supplies a substantial share of revenue, with Henry Schein a major customer. Sales therefore depend not only on demand from dental practices but also on distributors’ orders, inventory levels and support for end users.
Its smaller Wellspect Healthcare business sells catheters and bowel-irrigation systems for people who need help managing bladder or bowel function, mainly through medical-supply distributors. Certain products require approvals, clearances or licenses from the FDA and other health authorities before the company can manufacture, market or distribute them.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Dental treatment demand and practice equipment spending drive DENTSPLY SIRONA’s results; Straumann is an important implant and orthodontic rival to watch beyond this list.
Envista competes with DENTSPLY SIRONA for dental professionals’ spending on implants, orthodontics, imaging, restorative materials and root-canal products. Its implant and orthodontic sales are worth watching for competition facing DENTSPLY SIRONA in those treatments.
DENTSPLY SIRONA relies on Henry Schein to buy and distribute its products to dental customers: Henry Schein accounted for 13% of its net sales in the year ended December 31, 2025. Watch Henry Schein’s dental merchandise and equipment sales, but it also sells competing implants, biomaterials and root-canal products.
Align Technology competes for dentists’ and dental laboratories’ spending with Invisalign aligners against DENTSPLY SIRONA’s SureSmile, and with iTero scanners and exocad software against its digital dental design and manufacturing workflows. Align’s clear-aligner sales offer a focused view of this rivalry: they made up approximately 80% of its worldwide net revenues in the year ended December 31, 2025.
Solventum competes with DENTSPLY SIRONA for dental customers’ spending on restorative materials, bonding agents and orthodontic products. Watch its Dental Solutions sales rather than total company sales: dental products accounted for only 16.2% of Solventum’s total sales in 2025.

Align Technology’s report will show whether dentists and dental labs are still spending on clear aligners, a direct demand check for DENTSPLY SIRONA’s SureSmile competition.
Watch Align’s clear-aligner sales alongside its digital-product performance. Resilient aligner sales would suggest patient and practice demand for treatment remains, leaving DENTSPLY SIRONA’s SureSmile to compete in a live but contested market. A decline would point to softer demand for these treatments, making recovery in DENTSPLY SIRONA’s orthodontics business harder.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s interest-rate decision matters to Dentsply Sirona because higher borrowing costs can raise interest expense on debt that reprices and leave less cash for dental products, equipment and operations.

If it comes in above expectations
If the policy rate is above the estimate, debt with variable rates may become more expensive as it reprices, leaving Dentsply Sirona less cash for operations and investment.
If it comes in below expectations
If the policy rate is below the estimate, debt with variable rates may become cheaper as it reprices, easing interest costs and leaving Dentsply Sirona more cash for operations and investment.

DENTSPLY SIRONA’s report will show whether demand and pricing for U.S. dental equipment, CAD/CAM and implants are stabilizing, and whether preventive and restorative products continue to offset weakness.
Read CAD/CAM and implant volumes and pricing alongside sales of preventive and restorative products. A recovery in the first two, with the latter still growing, would show demand broadening across DENTSPLY SIRONA’s dental technology and treatment products and could ease product-mix pressure on gross margin. If CAD/CAM and implants remain weak and growth rests on consumables, the recovery is still narrow and margin pressure remains.
