Company

Company overview

Wallbox N.V. supplies equipment for charging electric vehicles at homes, businesses and public sites. Most sales reach customers through distributors, resellers and installers rather than its own direct channels. Utilities are an important customer group, including longstanding partner Iberdrola. Charger and accessory sales provide most of its revenue.

Wallbox also earns fees for installing and supporting its equipment, including installation through its North American subsidiary Coil. Businesses and fleets pay subscriptions to use Wallbox App, while Electromaps lets drivers find public charging points and pay through participating operators, earning Wallbox transaction commissions. Wallbox Care adds maintenance and extended-warranty services.

Demand depends on electric-vehicle adoption, while deliveries rely on critical components, some available from only one supplier, and qualified installers. Product certification requirements can restrict where Wallbox may sell, and domestic-content rules can limit access to government-funded charging programs. Continued operations also depend on completing its proposed debt restructuring, obtaining Spanish court approval and securing additional funding.

Wallbox’s results hinge on EV charging adoption and purchases through utilities and distributors, making Iberdrola—a longstanding customer partner and major institutional investor absent from this list—a company to watch.

  • ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. and Wallbox compete for business and fleet customers buying charging equipment, software and support, tying both to spending on charging sites. Watch ChargePoint’s charging-system sales and software subscriptions for signs of demand in those customer groups.

  • Blink Charging Co. competes with Wallbox for commercial and residential customers buying chargers and charging-management services. Its hardware sales are the closer comparison for Wallbox; Blink also earns fees from drivers using public chargers.

  • XCHG Limited competes with Wallbox for European buyers of DC fast chargers, and also sells chargers with built-in batteries. XCHG’s deployments, primarily in Europe, offer a view of the fast-charging market where Wallbox also sells equipment.

  • ADS-TEC ENERGY PLC competes for spending by utilities, fleets and retail-site operators that also buy Wallbox public charging equipment, selling fast chargers that use batteries to buffer power. Its charging revenue fell from €102.533 million in 2024 to €18.740 million in 2025—a concrete comparison to watch for this equipment market, not its service revenue.

  • Generac Holdings buys Wallbox charging products and partners with it, so its purchases feed directly into Wallbox’s revenue. Generac sells power-generation, storage and energy-management equipment to homes and businesses; its Wallbox-related purchasing and partnership news matter more directly than its overall equipment sales.

  • Tesla competes with Wallbox for home-charger buyers, but its electric-vehicle sales also support the adoption that drives demand for Wallbox chargers.

  • Enphase Energy competes with Wallbox for home-charging purchases by offering chargers linked to its solar and battery-storage platform. Its charger offering through solar distributors and installers is worth watching for competition over households buying integrated energy systems.

  • Nuvve Holding Corp. and Wallbox both seek fleet spending on charging and systems that move power in both directions, though Nuvve focuses more on services that help the electricity grid. Watch Nuvve’s sales of chargers that let vehicles return power to the grid; grid-services revenue currently remains a small part of its revenue.
