Wah Fu Education Group Ltd, since renamed Wah Fu Education & Technology Group Ltd., helps students in China prepare for examinations, particularly the self-study examinations required to obtain college degrees. It develops online platforms and hires teachers to record courses, then supplies them through universities and training institutions. Schools receive the platforms free; Wah Fu collects course fees from institutions or students based on the classes students take. This institutional channel generates most of its revenue. A smaller but substantial business charges clients to develop, maintain and support education technology systems.
Most revenue comes from cooperation with universities and colleges, so the business depends on retaining those relationships and attracting course enrollments. Provincial education rules also affect demand: Hunan universities no longer recognize scores from online self-study examination platforms, removing that use for Wah Fu’s services in the province.
China restricts foreign ownership of internet information services. Wah Fu therefore operates its Chinese website through contracts with Beijing Digital Information, which holds the required internet content license, rather than owning that company directly. This part of the business depends on those contracts remaining enforceable and the necessary licenses staying in place.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Wah Fu’s results hinge on Chinese adult higher-education enrollment and provincial examination policies, while Beijing Aopeng Long Distance Education Center and Hongcheng Technology Development are additional direct competitors to watch.
JIADE LIMITED and Wah Fu both sell platforms and education-support services to Chinese adult-education institutions, so adult enrollment and institutions’ demand matter to both. Watch demand for JIADE’s KB Platform, which helps institutions manage students from enrollment through graduation, alongside Wah Fu’s university course and examination platforms.
Sunlands competes with Wah Fu for paying adult students in China through online degree-oriented and professional training courses, but has shifted strongly toward interest and skills courses. Its degree-oriented course business is the closer comparison for Wah Fu’s focus on self-study examinations for college degrees, rather than Sunlands’ overall sales.
Jianzhi competes with Wah Fu in selling digital learning content and platform access to Chinese higher-education institutions, which pay to make those services available to students. Watch Jianzhi’s institutional learning-platform subscriptions rather than its overall revenue, now dominated by IT solutions for institutional customers.

Sunlands’ report will show whether Chinese adult learners still pay for online degree-oriented courses, a market that overlaps with Wah Fu’s effort to attract self-study exam students.
Focus on Sunlands’ degree-oriented course business, not its overall sales, which have shifted toward interest and skills courses. If degree-oriented demand holds or grows, Chinese adults are still paying for credential-focused study, supporting the demand pool Wah Fu seeks for self-study exams. If it weakens, Wah Fu faces greater pressure to enroll students in its own exam courses.
