Company

Company overview

Volato Group has shifted from operating private jets toward aircraft sales and software after transferring fleet operations management to flyExclusive. Aircraft buyers have supplied most of its reported revenue through purchases of Gulfstream G280 jets, with Volato earning a margin on the sales.

The company identifies Vaunt as its primary revenue-generating business, although subscriptions contribute much less revenue than aircraft sales. Members pay an annual fee to join waitlists for flights that would otherwise fly empty. If offered a flight, a member can accept it and use the whole aircraft. Vaunt therefore depends on third-party charter operators supplying flights, specifically flyExclusive, rather than simply on attracting subscribers. These operators operate under Part 135 aviation rules.

Volato also offers Mission Control, subscription software that helps charter operators manage flight scheduling, crews and customer workflows; flyExclusive is its first outside user. Its Parslee business offers AI software for Microsoft 365 to enterprise customers. Parslee remains in beta with paying customer pilots, and its core functions depend on outside AI providers, including Microsoft Azure OpenAI.

With Gulfstream aircraft sales dominating Volato’s 2025 revenue and no further aircraft deliveries expected in 2026, its ongoing business increasingly depends on Vaunt subscriptions and access to operators’ empty-leg flights.

  • flyExclusive took over management of Volato’s fleet operations, reducing Volato’s operating costs, and is the first outside user of its Mission Control flight-management software. Alongside selling private flights to charter customers, flyExclusive provides an early test of Volato’s subscription software for aircraft operators; watch its use of Mission Control.

  • Jet.AI competes with Volato for private-flight bookings and aircraft-operator software business: its CharterGPT helps customers book jets, while Volato’s Vaunt charges members for access to empty-leg flights. Watch Jet.AI’s Reroute AI, which finds potential bookings for otherwise empty flight legs—the same kind of flight inventory Vaunt needs from operators.

  • Wheels Up Experience competes with Volato’s Vaunt for consumers seeking private flights, selling memberships and charter services while Vaunt charges an annual fee for access to lower-cost empty-leg flights. Wheels Up’s membership-fee revenue is the line to watch for demand for paid access to private aircraft, distinct from the flight revenue that makes up most of its business.
