SiTime Corporation supplies components that provide timing signals for electronic systems, including datacenters, communications equipment and mobile devices. Most revenue comes from oscillator systems built around tiny mechanical structures on silicon, known as MEMS. Its products can be programmed to customer specifications, and its portfolio also includes clock chips and synchronization software.
Distributors buy SiTime’s products and resell them to equipment makers; some customers buy directly. Arrow Electronics and Pernas Electronics each account for a large share of revenue. Apple is its largest end customer, buying through distributors including Pernas and Quantek, but has no minimum purchase obligation. Sales depend on equipment makers choosing SiTime components during product design and then bringing those products into volume production; winning a design may not generate meaningful revenue for a year or more.
SiTime outsources manufacturing, assembly and testing rather than operating its own factories. It relies primarily on Bosch and Teledyne for MEMS fabrication and on TSMC and UMC for analog circuits, making supplier capacity and timely delivery important to fulfilling orders. U.S. export controls and sanctions restrict where and to whom it can sell, and some transactions require authorization.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Beyond this list, watch Bosch, which SiTime relies on for specialized MEMS fabrication, and absent timing rivals Rakon, TXC and Seiko Epson.
Microchip competes for customers buying SiTime’s oscillators and clock solutions, selling timing products alongside its broader range of chips for electronic equipment. Its timing-product news is more relevant to SiTime than results from its whole chip portfolio.
Skyworks competes with SiTime to supply timing solutions for electronic systems, within a broader business selling analog and mixed-signal chips. Watch its timing offerings rather than treating news across its smartphone, automotive and other markets as a direct signal for SiTime.
Diodes offers customers crystals and crystal oscillators that compete with SiTime’s MEMS timing products. These frequency-control components are the relevant product line to watch, rather than Diodes’ combined sales of standard semiconductors.
Apple uses SiTime timing devices in its products and was its largest end customer, accounting for approximately 17% of SiTime’s 2025 revenue through distributors. Apple sells phones, computers and other devices, but has no minimum purchase obligation to SiTime and can stop buying with little or no notice.
Texas Instruments competes with SiTime for electronics designers buying timing products, while also selling a broad range of semiconductors to designers and manufacturers worldwide. Timing-product developments are the relevant competitive signal, not its overall analog and embedded-processing results.
MACOM and SiTime share exposure to datacenter and telecom investment: customers use MACOM’s radio-frequency and optical chips in network links and SiTime’s precision timing devices in those infrastructure markets. Watch MACOM’s datacenter-link business, including links within and between datacenters, for a view of that shared demand.
Semtech and SiTime serve the same datacenter buildouts: equipment makers buy Semtech’s interconnect chips, while SiTime supplies timing devices. Semtech’s Signal Integrity sales offer a useful demand check, though that business also includes enterprise networks, optical access networks and wireless base stations.
Monolithic Power and SiTime share demand from computing and enterprise data systems: customers buy Monolithic Power’s chips to manage power and SiTime’s components for precision timing. Its storage-and-computing and enterprise-data revenue lines are the ones to watch for this shared hardware demand.
Coherent and SiTime share exposure to datacenter and communications expansion: customers buy Coherent’s optical transceivers and networking components and SiTime’s precision timing products. Coherent’s Datacenter & Communications business is the relevant demand indicator, rather than its industrial laser business.
Lumentum and SiTime benefit from the same AI infrastructure expansion: Lumentum sells customers optical components and switches for datacenter networks, while SiTime supplies timing products.
SiTime depends on Teledyne’s Digital Imaging subsidiary to fabricate the MEMS devices used in its timing products, with few readily qualified alternatives. Watch this supplier’s ability to deliver sufficient quantities at the required quality and cost: disruptions can hurt SiTime’s deliveries and margins.
SiTime relies on UMC to manufacture analog circuits for its timing products; UMC earns revenue making wafers for chip customers rather than selling competing timing devices. Availability and pricing of that wafer production matter to SiTime’s ability to ship products profitably.
TSMC manufactures analog circuits for SiTime, so its available production capacity and wafer prices affect SiTime’s deliveries and margins. SiTime has previously faced analog-circuit supply constraints at TSMC, making availability of that production more relevant than news about its newest chip processes.
SiTime relies on ASE to assemble and test its chips and provide ceramic packaging for some products, paying for steps it outsources rather than performs itself. Watch assembly and testing capacity: SiTime has previously faced shortages in these services, which can constrain deliveries.
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated earningsTDY
Teledyne's report and relevant business commentary can show whether its Digital Imaging subsidiary can keep supplying the MEMS devices SiTime needs at workable volume, quality and cost.
Look for commentary on capacity, delivery, quality and cost in the relevant manufacturing business; Teledyne's overall results do not establish what its subsidiary delivered to SiTime. Reliable supply at manageable cost would help SiTime ship on time and protect margin. Capacity constraints, quality problems or rising costs would put its deliveries and profitability under pressure.
United Microelectronic Corp. earningsUMC
UMC's report can offer clues about wafer capacity and pricing that affect SiTime's ability to make analog circuits, ship on time and control costs.
Read UMC's commentary on capacity use, customer demand and wafer pricing; these describe the broader foundry environment, not the capacity or price SiTime receives. Available capacity and stable pricing would make it easier for SiTime to produce analog circuits and protect margin. Tight capacity or higher prices would make shipments and cost control harder.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Fed rate decisions shape what SiTime earns on its short-term Treasury bills and may pay to borrow for its acquisition.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can lift interest income as SiTime reinvests Treasury bills, but may also raise borrowing costs if it uses debt to fund the acquisition.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can reduce interest income as SiTime reinvests Treasury bills, but may also lower borrowing costs if it uses debt to fund the acquisition.
ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. earningsASX
ASE's report can offer clues about the packaging, assembly and testing capacity SiTime outsources to finish products and deliver them on time.
Look for ASE's commentary on assembly, testing and packaging capacity, demand and cost; its overall figures do not show how much service SiTime actually receives. Ample capacity, smooth delivery and manageable costs would help SiTime ship on time and protect margin. Shortages or higher costs could slow product completion and pressure both deliveries and profitability.
Apple Inc. earningsAAPL
Apple's report will show demand for its products, a useful check on demand from an end customer that was SiTime's largest in 2025, though Apple buys through distributors.
Separate Apple's product-demand commentary from any signs of continued purchasing of SiTime devices: SiTime sells through distributors, and Apple has no minimum purchase commitment, so strong product sales do not guarantee SiTime orders. Strong demand alongside signs of continued purchasing would support this important end-customer source; weaker demand or signs of reduced purchases would make that revenue less secure.
SiTime Corporation earningsThis company
SiTime's report will show whether AI and datacenter demand can keep product shipments growing without eroding gross margin.
Read unit shipments and average selling prices alongside gross margin. More shipments, a supportive product mix and a steady margin would show that demand and manufacturing-cost improvements are offsetting price declines as products mature. Weaker shipments or mix and a falling margin would show that growth or those cost offsets are losing ground.
Coherent Corp. earningsCOHR
Coherent's Datacenter & Communications results will show demand for optical components in markets where customers also use SiTime's precision timing products.
Focus on sales and demand commentary for Coherent's Datacenter & Communications business, not its industrial laser business. Growth there would show that datacenter and communications customers are still expanding, supporting the shared market for SiTime timing products. Weakness would mean less support from that market, but would not establish that SiTime orders moved in step.
Diodes Inc earningsDIOD
Diodes' frequency-control products compete with SiTime's MEMS timing products, so its report can show whether customers are still buying those alternatives.
Look for demand or sales clues for Diodes' frequency-control products, including crystals and crystal oscillators; its entire semiconductor portfolio is not a timing-product signal. Resilient demand and pricing would show customers still value these alternatives, making SiTime's design wins and pricing harder to defend. Weakness could ease competitive pressure, but would not mean customers have switched to SiTime.
