Sight Sciences supplies surgeons with OMNI and SION for glaucoma procedures, which account for nearly all its revenue. OMNI helps restore the eye’s natural fluid drainage to lower pressure without leaving an implant. Ambulatory surgery centers and hospital outpatient departments buy the instruments, then bill Medicare or private health plans for the procedures. The business is concentrated in the United States, where its direct sales team also provides training and customer support.
Its smaller dry-eye business sells TearCare and related components to optometry and ophthalmology practices. TearCare applies controlled heat to eyelid glands, followed by manual expression to clear blockages, for adults whose dry eye stems from those glands. Practices pay Sight Sciences for the system; payment for treatment comes from patients or insurers, depending on coverage.
Sales depend heavily on whether providers receive enough reimbursement to offer these treatments. Medicare continues to cover procedures using OMNI and SION in the jurisdictions that adopted revised coverage rules, but those rules exclude combining certain glaucoma surgeries with a shunt or stent procedure in the same eye at the same time. TearCare has established Medicare pricing through Novitas and FCSO; outside those jurisdictions, meaningful insurance coverage remains limited and patients typically pay out of pocket. The company’s marketing and training must stay within authorized product uses.
Sight Sciences outsources all manufacturing and relies on a limited supplier base. PTCS, the Chinese subsidiary of Taiwan-based Peter’s Co., Ltd., produces most OMNI and SION products and TearCare’s SmartLids, making this supplier central to product availability.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Sight Sciences’ results depend overwhelmingly on glaucoma device adoption and reimbursement; also watch Nova Eye Medical and privately held New World Medical, direct competitors absent from this list.
Glaukos Corporation’s iStent and iDose TR compete for ophthalmic surgeons’ treatment choices with Sight Sciences’ OMNI and SION, which are sold to outpatient surgery facilities. Watch Glaukos’s glaucoma sales: greater use of alternatives has already hurt OMNI utilization and revenue growth, according to Sight Sciences.
Alcon’s Hydrus competes with Sight Sciences’ OMNI for use in glaucoma surgery at outpatient facilities, and the companies also compete in dry-eye procedures. Watch Hydrus adoption rather than Alcon’s total sales, which also include a broad range of surgical products, contact lenses and ocular health products.
Iridex Corp offers ophthalmologists glaucoma laser systems and disposable probes as alternatives to Sight Sciences’ surgical devices. Watch its Cyclo G6 glaucoma system rather than total revenue: Iridex also sells retinal-treatment equipment and earns recurring revenue from probes and servicing, without disclosing revenue by product line.
AbbVie sells devices used in microinvasive glaucoma surgery that compete with Sight Sciences’ core glaucoma business, which supplied 97.9% of its revenue in 2025. Watch AbbVie’s glaucoma-product news rather than its consolidated results: its much broader business develops and sells medicines and therapies across multiple treatment areas.
Glaukos Corporation earningsGKOS
Glaukos Corporation’s report will show whether demand for its competing glaucoma treatments remains strong, as surgeons choose among them and Sight Sciences’ OMNI and SION.
Focus on Glaukos’s glaucoma-product sales, not its total revenue. Stronger sales would show demand for alternatives to OMNI and SION is holding up, leaving Sight Sciences’ surgeon adoption and sales growth under pressure; weaker sales would soften that competitive signal, but would not prove OMNI or SION sales or market share increased.
Sight Sciences, Inc. earningsThis company
Sight Sciences gets nearly all its revenue from glaucoma products, and this report will show whether OMNI and SION sales can withstand competition and China-related manufacturing costs.
Read Interventional Glaucoma revenue alongside the total gross margin. Steady or rising revenue with a stable margin would indicate demand for OMNI and SION is holding up against competition without further cost-driven erosion; falling revenue would point to continued pressure on sales, and a further margin decline would show costs are weighing more heavily too.
