Repligen Corp supplies products that biopharmaceutical companies and contract drug developers and manufacturers use to make biological medicines. It sells mainly directly to customers rather than making the drugs itself. Filtration is its largest revenue line; its broader portfolio also supports purification and monitoring of manufacturing processes.
Most revenue comes from consumables and products used for a single production campaign, rather than equipment. For example, its OPUS columns arrive packed with the customer’s chosen resin and configuration, replacing columns customers would otherwise pack themselves. These sealed columns can serve process development, clinical production and commercial manufacturing.
Sales depend on customers’ production needs and the timing of large manufacturing orders, with no single customer currently dominating revenue. Repligen also relies on a limited supplier base, including single suppliers for certain products. U.S. export controls and sanctions restrict some sales, and required export licenses can delay or prevent shipments.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Repligen’s results hinge on biological-drug manufacturing volumes and production spending, with Sartorius and MilliporeSigma important competitors to watch beyond this list.
Danaher’s Cytiva business competes with Repligen to sell technologies used by biological-drug manufacturers, putting Repligen’s pricing and market share at risk. Watch Cytiva’s competing product launches and pricing offers to those manufacturers, rather than Danaher’s broader diagnostics results.
Thermo Fisher Scientific competes with Repligen for biological-drug manufacturers’ spending on production products. Its competing product launches or more favorable sales terms matter to Repligen’s revenue and margins more directly than results across its wider laboratory and pharmaceutical-services businesses.
Avantor competes with Repligen to supply biopharmaceutical manufacturers with single-use products that handle production fluids and products that separate materials, including chromatography resins and columns. Watch news about Avantor’s products becoming specified in customers’ approved production platforms, particularly where they overlap with Repligen’s fluid-management products and OPUS pre-packed columns.
Bio-Rad competes with Repligen in products that biopharmaceutical manufacturers buy to purify proteins, but this market is a smaller part of Bio-Rad’s diversified business. Its protein-purification products are therefore more relevant to Repligen than overall sales, which also include a large clinical-diagnostics business.

Danaher’s report can show what demand and competition look like for its Cytiva bioprocessing business, giving a read on pressure facing Repligen’s orders and pricing.
Compare Danaher’s comments on Cytiva or bioprocessing-product demand, pricing and competition with Repligen’s own product-sales growth and gross margin. If Danaher points to Cytiva winning more orders or using sharper prices while Repligen’s sales growth slows and margin comes under pressure, competition may be squeezing Repligen; if Danaher shows strong demand without those competitive signs and Repligen’s sales and margin hold up, the market may simply be growing, not taking share from Repligen.

Repligen’s report will show whether biopharma companies and contract development and manufacturing organizations keep buying its bioprocessing products, and whether those sales hold their margin.
Read product sales alongside results across the franchises and gross margin. Growth across several franchises with margin holding up would point to broad customer demand that Repligen is converting into profit; growth concentrated in a few lines, or slower sales with a falling margin, would leave order timing, product mix or costs as unresolved pressures.
