Precigen’s commercial focus is Papzimeos, an immunotherapy approved in the United States for adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis. Commercial sales began in late 2025, and product revenue is still at an early stage. Private insurers, Medicare and Medicaid provide coverage, so sales depend on physicians prescribing the treatment, patients obtaining access, and payers providing adequate reimbursement. Eversana supports the U.S. launch and commercialization.
Precigen also earns substantial revenue through Exemplar, which supplies genetically engineered miniature pigs and related services to industry and academic researchers studying human diseases and testing treatments. Its other human therapies remain investigational, including cancer treatments based on its AdenoVerse and UltraCAR-T platforms.
The business increasingly depends on Papzimeos’s commercial success. Precigen makes the drug’s bulk substance internally but relies on third parties for other manufacturing steps, packaging and distribution, with no second source for certain materials. Papzimeos’s U.S. approval covers adults with this disease; approval outside the United States remains pending.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Precigen’s results hinge chiefly on uptake and reimbursement of Papzimeos for adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP), with Eversana supporting its U.S. commercialization.
Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc.’s INO-3107 could compete for the same HPV6- and HPV11-driven RRP patients as Precigen’s approved Papzimeos, making its FDA approval review and clinical results important to Precigen’s sales prospects. INOVIO had no product sales revenue in 2025; approval would bring it closer to competing for those patients.
PDS Biotechnology Corporation competes with Precigen’s PRGN-2009 in developing immunotherapies for HPV-associated cancers, so its clinical progress matters to Precigen’s oncology pipeline rather than Papzimeos sales. PDS has yet to generate product revenue; watch its HPV-associated cancer trial results for how the competing treatments are progressing.
Senti Biosciences Holdings, Inc. develops engineered cell therapies for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that compete with Precigen’s PRGN-3006, making it a focused comparison for Precigen’s active UltraCAR-T program. Watch Senti’s AML clinical progress alongside PRGN-3006, for which Precigen has completed Phase 1b enrollment.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Precigen’s variable-rate debt can make its borrowing costs rise or fall as the Fed changes its benchmark interest rate, affecting cash available for Papzimeos commercialization and research.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher-than-expected rates can increase interest paid on Precigen’s variable-rate debt, leaving less cash for launching and selling Papzimeos and for research.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower-than-expected rates can reduce interest paid on Precigen’s variable-rate debt, leaving more cash available for Papzimeos commercialization and research.
Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. earningsINO
Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc.’s report will show whether its RRP treatment INO-3107 is moving closer to competing with Precigen’s Papzimeos for the same patients.
Look at INO-3107’s clinical progress and FDA review. Encouraging results and continued progress through review would mean another treatment is moving toward the RRP patients Precigen serves and could compete for patients and sales. Poor results or stalled progress would make that threat less immediate, but would not prove Papzimeos sales are strong.
Precigen, Inc. earningsThis company
Precigen’s report will show whether Papzimeos sales are beginning to support the company’s revenue as it relies less on Exemplar and collaboration income.
Separate Papzimeos product revenue from Exemplar product and service revenue and collaboration and licensing revenue. Rising Papzimeos revenue with a smaller contribution from the other sources would show the drug is becoming a steadier source of income. If Papzimeos remains small or other items still support most revenue, the shift to a product-led business is not yet established.
PDS Biotechnology Corporation earningsPDSB
PDS Biotechnology Corporation’s report will show how its HPV-associated cancer immunotherapy is progressing, offering a comparison for Precigen’s PRGN-2009 oncology program.
Focus on PDS Biotechnology’s HPV-associated cancer trial progress, not product sales; the company has no product revenue. Strong progress would show a competing therapy advancing in the same cancer field and raise the competitive bar for Precigen’s PRGN-2009 program. Limited progress would mean less immediate pipeline pressure on Precigen’s oncology program.
Senti Biosciences Holdings, Inc. earningsSNTI
Senti Biosciences Holdings, Inc.’s report will show how its acute myeloid leukemia cell therapy is progressing, providing a direct development comparison for Precigen’s PRGN-3006.
Compare Senti’s AML clinical progress with Precigen’s PRGN-3006, which has completed Phase 1b enrollment. Progress at Senti would show a competing therapy advancing in the same disease area; limited progress would mean less near-term competitive pressure from Senti. Neither outcome replaces evidence from Precigen’s own program.
