Company

Company overview

VerifyMe, Inc., now renamed OpenWorld, Inc., earns nearly all its revenue from Precision Logistics, which includes PeriShip Global. It helps shippers manage sensitive parcels, especially perishable goods. Its platform combines weather, flight, traffic and carrier data to flag potential delivery problems and track shipments; service-center staff intervene when problems arise, including during final delivery.

Most revenue comes from ProActive, where customers pay the company for carrier transportation and logistics assistance together. Customers using Direct Premium instead arrange and pay for transportation with the carrier, then pay the company separately for monitoring and help resolving shipping problems. The company also has a small anti-counterfeit and brand-protection business that serves existing customers rather than actively seeking new business.

The logistics business depends heavily on carrier partners for transportation and access to customers. After FedEx brought preferred shipping services in-house, PeriShip Global lost its preferred-shipper status. The company stopped its bundled ProActive service for those customers and later ended Premium services resold by FedEx, but continues Direct Premium for customers shipping with FedEx. It has started ProActive with a new Strategic Partner and was working to expand other services through that partner. It has no alternative supplier for the shipping services that partner provides.

OpenWorld’s logistics recovery hinges on rebuilding shipping volume through its unnamed new Strategic Partner and demand for perishable shipments, while UPS and DHL also compete for critical shipments.

  • FedEx competes with OpenWorld’s PeriShip Global for customers needing time- and temperature-sensitive shipping, and its removal of PeriShip’s preferred-shipper status drove a major revenue decline. Watch FedEx’s own preferred-shipping platform: moving those services in-house ended PeriShip’s ProActive service to the prior carrier partner’s customers in September 2025.
