Anbio Biotechnology supplies instruments and tests used to analyze biological samples in laboratories, at the point of care and in home self-testing. It mainly sells to business customers through its own sales team and distributors. Anbio designs experiments and interprets results, outside laboratories perform development work, and third-party suppliers manufacture the finished products. Anbio owns the intellectual property developed under these arrangements and earns revenue from product sales.
Non-COVID products now generate most revenue, and the European Union is its largest market. A small number of customers account for a substantial share of sales, while manufacturing is concentrated among a small group of suppliers. Orders from those customers and continued access to those suppliers therefore matter greatly to the business.
Continued EU sales depend on meeting the newer In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation as existing transitional permissions expire. Anbio is preparing the required registration documentation; its existing CE markings do not remove that obligation. Selling in other countries may require additional local approvals and validation.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Anbio Biotechnology’s shift from respiratory tests to non-COVID and customized products hinges on concentrated distributor orders, outsourced manufacturing and continued EU regulatory access.
QuidelOrtho Corporation competes with Anbio for professional and consumer spending on laboratory tests, tests used where patients receive care and home-use diagnostics. Watch its laboratory and point-of-care product revenue for signs of demand in markets Anbio also serves, while noting that QuidelOrtho’s instrument contracts require customers to keep buying its reagents and supplies.
Trinity Biotech plc competes with Anbio for clinical-laboratory and point-of-care testing customers across international markets, including Europe and Brazil, using distributors as well as direct sales. Its sales to hospitals and laboratories in Europe and its direct business in Brazil are worth watching alongside Anbio’s distributor-led expansion and current focus on South America.
BIOMERICA INC competes with Anbio for portions of conventional diagnostic-test demand through laboratory and international distribution channels, making it relevant as Anbio reduces its reliance on COVID products. Watch Biomerica’s international sales and distributor orders: one distributor accounted for 31% of net sales in each fiscal year ended May 31, 2026 and 2025.
Trinity Biotech plc earningsTRIB
Trinity Biotech’s report will show how European hospitals and laboratories and Brazilian customers are buying tests, offering a read on the demand Anbio faces in Europe and is targeting in South America.
Look at Trinity Biotech’s sales to European hospitals and laboratories alongside its direct business in Brazil. Strength in both would suggest demand for clinical-laboratory and point-of-care tests remains in markets Anbio serves or targets, supporting its distributor-led expansion; weakness would suggest those markets may offer less room for Anbio to grow.
