Company

Company overview

Nomad Power Solutions, Inc. focuses its drug development on LB-100, an experimental drug intended to make other cancer treatments more effective by inhibiting an enzyme called PP2A. It is testing LB-100 in combination with other cancer therapies and aims to secure partnerships or licensing agreements with pharmaceutical companies that have major cancer programs. LB-100 is not approved for sale. Its colorectal-cancer study with atezolizumab at the Netherlands Cancer Institute is on hold while serious adverse events are investigated.

The company also owns a majority stake in Liora Technologies Europe Ltd., which is developing the LiGHT proton-therapy system. Liora plans to offer the system as an unlicensed prototype whose technology and engineering can be copied and licensed, rather than as equipment ready to treat patients. The prototype needs recommissioning; clinical use would require further work, funding and regulatory clearance.

Neither business currently generates revenue, and the company has no approved products. Investors supplying equity capital, rather than paying customers, fund operations. Continued development depends on access to more capital, while a future drug business depends on successful trials and regulatory approval.

Common shares Nomad's need to prove it can improve existing cancer treatments: Processa aims to change how much active drug reaches cancer and healthy cells, while Nomad's LB-100 aims to boost drugs that damage cancer-cell DNA. Watch Processa's trial evidence on efficacy and tolerability—the same clinical hurdle matters as Nomad seeks partnerships or licensing agreements with pharmaceutical companies.
