Company

Company overview

Meridian Holdings Inc.’s main business is MeridianBet, which accepts sports bets and offers casino games through websites, mobile apps and company-owned or franchised betting shops. Players across Europe, Africa, and Central and South America supply most of the company’s revenue, with online casino and sports betting its largest lines. A substantial part of MeridianBet’s business is in the Balkans. The company also licenses its betting technology to local franchise partners.

A separate business earns money from prize competitions and promotional memberships. In the UK, customers pay to enter RKings competitions, which require sufficient skill, knowledge or judgment and provide a legally required free-entry route; they are not gambling or lotteries. In Australia, Classics For A Cause sells memberships that include retailer discounts and free entries into vehicle giveaways.

The smaller GMAG business serves licensed online gaming operators, mainly in Asia Pacific. Its GM-Ag System lets operators access games from multiple suppliers through one technical connection, and earns revenue by distributing or reselling third-party gaming content.

The betting business depends on maintaining licenses wherever it offers its products. It also needs reliable third-party sports data to set odds and manage betting exposure, and relies on a limited number of payment processors for player deposits and withdrawals. Gaming revenue comes from many customers rather than a few large accounts.
